1. if you're not good looking, Instagram DM'ing will destroy your confidence. You'll get no replies, Seens, and the less said about follow requests the better.

  2. you reveal too much about yourself in the bio and on the profile itself. Women love enigmatic men, men who they can't figure out. If you put everything out there, then there's no intrigue about you.

  3. the anticipation and fear of not getting a reply and/or if you said something wrong can absolutely crush you. You also don't have the luxury of explaining yourself thoroughly if you mess up.

  4. Instagram is in its core meant to be shallow and an "in-and-out" app when it comes to messaging. AKA you're supposed to slide into the DM's, exchange 7-10 messages and ask a girl out.

  5. women are the opposite of men when it comes to their life on IG, as they basically tell you everything. This is great for hook ups (again, gotta be good looking), but horrible otherwise - no suspense.

  6. an attractive guy can get away with a boring DM about 7 out of 10 times, you cannot. Attractive girls have gotten any and every type of DM before, so it's extremely hard to stand out as an average guy.

  7. IG isn't reality - Photoshop, pictures OOC, hiding personality imperfections are all tools people use. Even when you're talking with a girl and feel like something's building, you only know half of it, at best.

So, quit using IG to try and make something happen with girls. Go out there in the world and hustle socially. If you happen to be good looking already, crack on, but make sure to follow rule number 4 religiously for best results.
