Sometimes things have power because you give them power. If someone asked for my ig I wouldn't be asking myself if it was a shit test, I'd probably just tell them my ig and think nothing of it.

Girls like to stalk guys. Essentially she'll check every social media you have to look for anything she doesn't like. If you already have a way to message her, you have nothing to gain (in your case. Properly curated profiles are different). It's a "anything i see can and will be used against you" situation.

It's a valid question. If I can I always lean towards Snapchat for this kind of thing. It's a bit less "cool" than IG, but most people still have it and it's been deliberately built for better interpersonal communication rather than showing off how good you are at constructing an attractive fake life. It's also good practice for looking good on camera if you struggle with that

If you really have to use IG and you don't have a pre-existing "high value" profile, it's probably better to just have an empty "I set this up just for chatting with people who prefer ig" profile

In my experience, when I have a girl's more "personal" contact than Instagram (aka phone number, whatsapp, telegram ... direct messaging apps and not SM) and she, later, asks for my Instagram, especially through text, it means that she wants to stalk me.

So I take it as a good sign :)

A shit test is not random questions or her trying to gather more intel to get a read on you. A shit test is almost always a test for authenticity because you are not seeming like you are who you say you are or who you are purporting yourself to be.

So if she's asking for your IG while you're bragging about your millions of followers on social media, then yes, maybe it is a shit test.

On the other hand, if she's asking just out of curiosity, it is likely not.

No it's not a shit test. Yes she probably does want to confirm you are cool/normal. Some girls think it's suspect if a guy doesn't have one.

Try and make it better it's just part of the game nowadays. Even a few good pictures is okay. If she is already interested it doesn't need to be great - just confirmation that you are probably cool and not dangerous.

If your game is really good and you are obviously high value you can not have one - but that works better if you are very obviously high value.
