My wife just left me a couple weeks ago. I don't feel like I'm ready to get back into the game, but want to prepare myself for when I am. Should I get back into approaching and such even if I have no intentions of anything other than practicing?

Short and sweet. Currently in college. Started talking to a girl in the diner. Overall positive, but a couple mistakes. Its quite salvageable. Got her number. This was yesterday. Know she's busy tomorrow. How soon to text her and any good ideas?

I was essentially left by my ex (blindsided, someone I loved) for her ex. Currently getting over the breakup, but It takes a massive blow to your confidence to be ditched for someone else.

How do I get my confidence back, and when I run into her (which happens a lot) how do I not give a fuck and not try to seek a reaction from her, either jealousy or any other.

I entered into a new high school this year. I currently have three friends who are girls. I do not get a lot of time to talk to them and so I would like to do something on the weekends with them. What are some good places where I could take one or two of them and have the best chance of escalation. Note they are all relatively nerdy because I take honors classes and also I cannot drive. This might've been answered tons of times already, but here goes:

I know I should turn my conversations sexual, but I would feel horribly incongruent doing so. I haven't had sex, so it would be obvious that I'm trying hard to act the whole "talking about sex casually" sort of frame. I'm still at the point where I can sort of have conversations going, but the vibe is not escalating. They're just conversations that involve good eye contact, minor humor, back and forth about life, school, work, where I try to often inject more questions about how they feel about this and that, what they want to do in the future, stuff that happened in the past, etc. If there's some joke than I touch her on the arm (I'm probably not doing it confidently enough though).

But there's this large, unknown game between me and a sexual me, so is there a more comfortable way to slowly make that leap since I'm very much on the other side to begin with?

I have approach anxiety and in my case, it's a problem of my mind going completely blank the moment I see an attractive woman. I've always been quiet and not the kind of person who sparks up conversation, but I'm working on it. What would you suggest to "prep" myself with mentally before going out, so I have SOMETHING to say when I see the next attractive woman.

How do you build dominance? I'm fairly confident, but it's hard for me to say everything with conviction and I also have trouble building my dominance. I don't want to be a "permission boy" as RSD Julian calls it, but it's very weird for me to try to be super dominant. I'm not even sure what you'd consider dominance in an interaction.

I'm working on being assertive. I have a lot of trouble gauging interest, and I worry about being too forward to the wrong girls. I want to come on to them, but I don't want to scare them off if they're not THAT interested in me. Any tips?

EDIT: Also, Kino. Completely new to the concept. Any good guides? I've read stuff in the sidebar but it's still kind of hard for me to figure out how to do it without it being super awkward.

Been waiting for this for so long and always seemed to miss the post. (I have a few questions).

First off, I'm a server at the bar/pub on my campus and I've had fairly flirty female customers, but I've never felt like I could close that gap (employee-customer). How would I go about breaking that line?

Secondly, I feel like I'm bad at receiving compliments. How can I get better at doing this? I feel like it would really benefit new introductions.

Third on my list is that I often find myself getting either quite loud, or speaking very quickly when I get excited or interested in a topic. Now, normally this would be good to show enthusiasm, but I think I get it to the point that its detrimental. Any tips on how to control/moderate my speech more?

not really a "simple question" per se but....How do you tell the difference between when a girl who works at a clothing store is being nice to you just to make a sale or is genuinely interested in you?

Common sense would dictate that the answer is "well- if she is flirting with you then she likes you" .....this is true HOWEVER SALES GIRLS MAKE MONEY ON SALES....FLIRTING SELLS

I ran into a girl I picked up about 10 days ago. We've gone out 4 times and fooled around once. We agreed to go to my place to watch movies tonight. I ran into her at college today. She was talking with her friend, so I didn't interrupt and texted someone. When I was done I look up and she asks "what's up?" And I say "nothing, class got cancelled so I have nothing to do" and I introduce myself to her friend. Then she said "great, well, I'll see you later bye!". She. Blew. Me. Off!!!!

I simply walked away from that.

What's the proper way to react and proceed from here?
