Lmao, what? I can understand wanting to play some videogames from time to time, but playing every day for hours on end? It is NOT normal to have no other hobbies, let alone be proud of your man for 'staying off the streets,' whatever it means. At least she can feel smug for being such a nice girl, I suppose! Why does he have a daily war within himself? That doesn't sound healthy at all. What if he took all the hours that he spends unproductively staring at a screen and used them to get that situation straightened out instead? Like, see a therapist, start a meditation practice, hold actual attentive conversations with your life partner, spend some time in nature, be an active role model for your children, etc.

As in introvert I would be completely fine with my man playing video games so I can be alone and do whatever I want without him clinging to me some days, but once someone prioritizes video games over hanging out with their significant other when they want affection or they stop helping with household duties it’s a huge issue.

She had me in the first half, not gonna lie. I see a lot of hate towards video games, but they are a hobby as much as watching sports is (I know, I know, the irony is palpable) , but I personally don’t think that doing something you like is a waste of time.

However, this post is just... no honey, just no. I can’t even put it in words how I feel about that. Shocked? Appalled? Anger... that’s the one, I’m angry.
