They are both temporary states. A man who's been "built up" will go back to his shitty ways real soon because he's not done any internal work. On the other hand, a "damaged woman" (gee, I hate that term) won't stay that way for very long if she works on her mental health.

Preach! I thought I was doing him right by building his self-esteem and feeding his ego. I mean it wasn’t hard or fake - I adored him. But while he was reaping those psychological benefits of my emotional nurture, the imminent emotional trauma inflicted on me was looming just around the corner. Seriously - his next girlfriends absolutely saw the fruits of my labor and got a SUPER confident man who was an amazing boyfriend cuz he’d learned from his mistakes on me while he didn’t have to correct or even own up to those mistakes while with me. Cuz I was a fuckkng awesome girlfriend. Fcuk him.

Oof, I felt this one. Know that every time you meet an attractive, confidant, emotionally intelligent man there’s probably a woman (or several) from his past who built him up to be like that. This is why how men talk about their exes is such an important part of the vetting process.

Think about it. Men start off dating with the intent to not marry or commit to one woman. Their entire approach to dating and relationships is the exact opposite of most women/girls. Girls literally start off dating by falling in love and Hoping he is the one....even as young as College and High School ages. So what does that tell you about a man/boys intentions?? Men start the whole dating “game” off as a ploy...a numbers game...how many women can they attract, manipulate and f*ck. They KNOW they are going to damage many women with this approach to dating and they DO not care...better y’all than them, is their thinking. Women start off hoping to fall in love, have true love and romance and get engaged and married. The “game” is completely rigged from the jump

So much truth behind this. I feel that sometimes we find broken men and want to fix parts of them, when we should just go with whatever flaws they have. After all some men don’t try to fix us.
