What do we think? Harmless and cute or condescending neg?

I am very petitr, and my aesthetic is more cute and wholesome than conventionally “hot.” But something about a male suitor calling me adorable bothers me. I am a professional who more than has her shit together. It feels condescending and somehow like a neg. Would love to hear your thoughts.

ETA: thanks for all your input! And for context, I’m talking about when it’s a man you don’t know very well and he uses it as a compliment on a date or he is sliding in your DMs saying “you look adorable there.” Not an established boyfriend, not family, etc.
