This was my first serious relationship and, well, my first love. Post-separation, I took a break from social media. Now that I am back, I finally removed him from everywhere (the conversations and other exchanges were removed prior). Block and delete, baby.

I remember that, early on, he mentioned why he still (mutually) followed his exes on social media: to see what “everyone was up to”. He also wanted them to have a peek on what his life looks like. Multiple times, he chose these women over me. He was a coward. My ex bragged about how he’d “block” me if we were to separate because he “tried so hard” to get into a relationship with me. He did not block, nor remove me (I doubt it was out of pity — he’s too self-centered for sympathy).

So I broke this pattern. It disgusts me to imagine him, so prideful and “wanted”, thinking I still look through his feed. Even worse, I did not want to be on his roaster of exes and former hookups. I did not want him to be sure he still has access to me, either — that privilege is long gone.

So, I am now sharing my little win with you. I am so proud of myself for removing him so early on. I cried, but I still did it.

I feel so, so free now. This will be a new, better chapter of my life. Thank you, FDS ♥️
