Anybody coming from a broken home completely understands you man. I'm coming from a broken home marriage is the last thing I will ever do. I love talking about marriage cause women get wet from the thought of it yet no way in hell I'm doing that. The law is completely on women's side. So true OP's post.

Ask yourselves, how happy were your married Parents growing up? Also, name one guy friend of yours who's happily married and gets sex on a regular basis? I will never get married, plus, no way will I risk half of my net worth to placate a Woman. I couldn't imagine losing the home I paid for because some Woman isn't happy with me despite me doing everything for her.

Both of my parents (now divorced) told me the same thing growing up.

My parents had a pretty amicable divorce as well. No fighting over custody or possessions. No big arguments. Despite all of that my Dad estimates the divorce cost him roughly 60k in cash in the form of mediation and legal fees. That was before having to then part with half of his assets. When even my mom was telling me how much family court was a racket you know it's fucking bad. That was 20 years ago as well. I assume it's only gotten much worse.

Think about all the married couples you know below the age of 60. How many of the men are truly happy? Not many. Because when you get a wife and have kids you are basically locking yourself into working like a dog until you are 65 years old. Because the cost of living is skyrocketing, cost of education is skyrocketing, your wife wants clothes, vacations, cars, etc. I live in a very affluent area of the country and I have heard tons of stories about couples where the guy is clearing well into 6 figures but they have almost nothing in savings because of trying to keep up with the Joneses.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to what you want in life. I don't particularly want kids, so why the fuck would I get married. 50% of my assets for marginal tax benefits? Fuck that.

I am 25 right now and I envision for myself a life where I am retired by 40/45 living off of passive income in a country where I don't have to pay $2k to rent a 450sqft studio. I don't see how getting married is going to positively benefit my life so fuck that. If I find a truly good woman and she wants to hang around and be my "life partner" or whatever then fine. I ain't touching marriage with a 10 ft pole.

I'm 23 and it is crazy to think that some friends are married now, one of the worst decisions ever is to get married young, like the first or second relationship is the "perfect" girl for you?! Ffs. Most of them get married because he pregnant her or because social pressure (both stupid reasons for get married). I'm not against marriage if you are a red pill man and you are at least in your 30's, but today generation just make so many stupid decisions.

What’s funny to me is how much people will hate you if you don’t get married.

Your male peers will hate you out of jealousy.

The females will hate you as well, but for reasons unbeknownst to me. I’ve always heard from older women how if a man in his mid 30s hasn’t been married yet then that’s a “huge red flag” for them. It pisses me off everytime they say that shit but I keep quiet, no point in arguing with roasties.

As someone happily married for 20+ years it's hard to relate. If you don't control the relationship early on, you'll almost never regain it. You need to be "red pilled" going into a new relationship. Those that try it mid way (looking at you MRP) are those that have the hardest time resetting their women.

The men in failed relationships are the ones that avoided all the red flags and did not address them as they came up. They looked the other way hoping they would buy her more flowers or another gift and it would all go away (or heaven forbid... have another child).

An unaddressed problem will remain such. Focus on yourself first. That is the key tenet. Focus on yourself.

Example from my life: My, now wife, was in my room, it was late, she wouldn't leave. I was tired, she outwore her welcome and I had to get up early. See, we were just friends at the time. I'd tell her to go home and she just stayed there. So I flat out told her, stay or leave I don't care, but make a decision. She said she would stay. She crawled into bed and I fell asleep. I did fuck her the next day but the point is, I didn't care if she left.

You can love someone, but you always need to be willing to let them leave or even shove them out the door, despite how much you love them. You come first, they come second. Follow that, and you won't end up a statistic.

I came from a home where bothy parents abused us emotionally physically you name it. I never took it from my own parents, I mean they gave it to me good but I always stood my ground before they beat the body and blood of christ outta my ass.

Honestly marriage isn't something you just do. Many ppl make that mistake and it's partially their fault, also due to the many miseducations society sets you up with so that they keep power over you. Ill be marrying her but that's because I know I can handle it. Just like 2+2=4, I have proven to myself and her that there's nothing she can do that I am not already ready for. Lol usually she just comes to me to ask what to do for that exact reason, like her fate is written in the stars and she's coming to her Oracle Papa Bear to read her future for the day

Here's the tip. Always make bets you know you can win. If you know you can't, or don't know completely, maybe you should research some more, evaluate, but definitely don't take the bet because you are even the slightest unsure. If you can handle the situation when it gets at its worse, if you prepare for that, then it can only go up from there. Speaking from pressure tested experience, there is nothing she can do to ever truly put me down or surprise me. Lol I even told her that Multiple Times to her face. Without me she wudnt even be living the life she is right now, and that's her words not mine. Danger is risky yes, however danger can be manipulated. Risk is just another bitch I keep with a ball and chain attached. Men of high calibre don't believe that they can never fall, they accept what can make them fall and manipulate the situation to fit their needs. I’m not advocating that you don’t get married. But it’s fucking stupid to blanketly state not to. If you want kids, you need to get married. A lot of people get the most life satisfaction out of children. If you do get married, avoid sluts, try to find the woman when you are poor/lower in status so her chances of cheating/divorcing are lowered, etc (the normal vetting). Life isn’t always about being “alpha” and trying to fuck as many random women as possible

I have to disagree with some of those points:

Only weak men kill themselves after divorce. If you are truly red pill, you won't a give shit. I was fine after my divorce and have already remarried.
I initiated the divorce and went through mediation. While all divorces are not as amicable, some are.
The interesting thing is that often times, when you marry, you pay less taxes because married filing jointly tax rates are lower than single rates. Also, each additional child that you have saves you more in taxes. As far as the government being a 3rd party, I don't even know what that means. The article doesn't list one example.
Seeing your child not as much has its blessings. You can do more shit on your own. It's almost more red pill. You spread the seed and have the betas take care of your offspring. I'm ok with seeing my son less, and I still care for him enough to show him the red pill ways.
This is true to a certain extent. You do lose freedom in marriage, but just like in any LTR.
High child support is a reality. I make a lot though so I can handle it.
True about alimony. That's why if you are going to divorce, you divorce before 10 years of marriage so that you only pay for half the time that you were married.

While I agree that marriage and divorce has many negatives, there are some positives. It is possible to be as red pill as possible in a marriage and have it be successful. I think your stats are highly suspect. Once you have higher education and start earning a decent amount, the rate of divorce goes down drastically. But I do agree that the more partners a person has leads to a higher risk for divorce and women do initiate about 70-80% of divorces.

That 50% divorce figure is only about 20% for college educated middle class people. But to your point, I wouldn't be surprised if it was rising due to hookup culture.
