Another problem I've noticed: Women tend to way, way overestimate their attractiveness. They often exclusively go for guys that are (perceived) as extremely attractive, intelligent, accomplished, etc. while ignoring that they themselves are lacking in half of these categories.

Nobody wants to be treated like these women were treating their friends and dates. This doesn't seem to be as much a men's rights issue, as it is a human rights issue. Just treat people nicely and politely, and there will be no few issues.

This is the thing. Women are told from birth, in their families, in education, the media and all other major social institutions that their duty is to treat men like dirt. If they are rude, mean and greedy they are 'strong', 'fiesty', 'independent' etc. rather than, well, rude, mean, greedy. If I wanted to be bullied, demeaned and treated like a turd I would get myself a girlfriend. But I don't. So I won't.

I notice the URL has "clever" in it but the title of the article uses the word "critical", maybe she realised she had already used the word clever several times and didn't want to accentuate any more of her narcissism.

If only she would realise that clever people rarely need to call themselves clever. Anyone who is so eager to pat themselves on the back probably isn't getting the praise they believe they deserve from others and you can only wonder why.

Besides, being a writer for the daily mail is hardly an intellectual achievement, quite the opposite really.

I have never read an article about how "men don't like independent, strong women" where I haven't been able to zero in on the real problem the author has been having. Usually, she's rude, a liar, or (frankly) a competitive ballbuster.

Attention ladies: Men already have to compete with thousands of other guys every day of our lives, why the hell would you think we'd want to compete with our wives and girlfriends too?

But, hey, kudos to this woman for at least starting to get it. Keep going! You're almost there.

personally, i prefer smart people. Really smart comments would only deter stupid or averagish people. Perhaps the issue is her standards. And it is obvious that being bossy would ruin a date, because that is a rude behavior no matter when.
