How many of you hate / harbor animosity toward women?

I don't hate women. I don't even hate feminism as an idea. I have had a stalker, who insinuated that if i didn't date her i'd get the whole false rape accusation thing. That ended OK, but could have been bad. I've had my name slandered as a girlfriend beater all over one particular town. That lie was told almost 10 years ago but it still pops up now and then. But you know what? Those were only TWO women. Only TWO. I also have female friends who really were beaten, raped, etc. I've had to physically fight off a friends crazed ex to keep her safe. I've had to rehang new door and install new locks to keep another female friend safe after her ex pulled some shit. The point being, the ideas behind real equality-based feminism are valid. Women's concern's are REAL. Just like Men's concerns are REAL.

Name a group, any group, and you'll find a section of the pie made up of wonderful people, a section of the pie made up of extremist ass-hats, a huge slice of people who are basically ok, and a slice that is made up of people who SHOULD be ok but have the wrong idea. Ok, so maybe groups like the KKK don't have any wonderful people, but you get what i'm saying.

I subscribe this subreddit, but I also subscribe to the more female oriented ones, such as TwoXChromosomes, as well as Equality and some others. I think everyone's rights are important and you can't strive for equality putting one above the other. Just look what happened to mens rights when radicals put women above men. But then again, can you blame some of the less radical women for getting on board with the nuts after the shit we've done to them? If you want a world where no one is abusing the system, where your own rights are considered valid and sacred you have to fight for the rights of EVERYONE. That's my stand. I hate individuals, not groups. I hate those 2 women. I hate every man I've ever had to fight in a woman's defense. Most of all, I hate that we live in a world where the ideas of reasonable people are constantly co-opted by radicals on both sides to keep fights going. Why should any man pay for someone else's child? Why should any woman be raped?

IT'S 20FREAKING10. Most of us live in civilized nations. The fact that anyone's rights are still up for debate and we still need to fight for ANYONE is appalling to me.

Do I hate women...no. In fact I love being with a healthy mentally adjusted woman. And sex well it can't be beat.

That said. I was completely f_cked over by my ex and her sisters in screwing me out of having a close life with my daughter. What gets me the absolute most evilness that was passed on to me after all I gave was myself to their family. I had one sister-in-law live with me for three months while they tried to decide what to do with their grandmother that was heading into advanced dementia. In fact she lived with us for a month as well. Then the sister-in-law came back again a few years again later and lived with us for six month. I gave her a ride to work 50+ miles round trip every day and refused money for gas. When I had to drive myself I left the best car for her to drive. Yet when it came time for divorce court I was described as a menace to society with a violent temper and a driving style that was suicidal. Nearly the same thing from my other sister-in-law. I didn't provide her with free rides to work or a home to live in but you can bet that anytime she needed free IT advice, construction projects around her house, etc. I was there. My ex's best friend and her had not spoken in four years. I got them back together. Yet when it came time for court it was lie after lie. Stupidly I thought the truth shall set you free.

I told the story of a father dedicated to his daughter. Who spent every night with her before bed. The court doesn't bother to check a single reference of mine but took sisters and business partners as the only truth in the court proceedings. For five years I have only seen my daughter (now 8) every other weekend yet I only live 10 blocks from her and she asks for equal time every time I see her. These same ex-sister-in-laws get greater time with my daughter than I do even though we are both watching her and the same soccer practice.

Do I hate these women... FUCK YES! Do I hate all women. No but I am awful god damn leery of putting myself out there for another woman again. Been eight + years since I have had sex and I sure would like to end this dry streak but I will be damned if I let another person fuck with my ability to see my daughter again.

But seriously; I don't hate women at all. As a human being and especially an African American, I cannot in good conscience hate an entire ethnic group or gender for the actions of a specific group of people. Besides, there are enough individual women who have earned my ire, so I can afford to be discrete in my detestation.

Do I have a reason to hate women; without a doubt. The foremost reason in my life is because I was the victim of a false rape accusation. I won't get into the details as I've repeated my story here before. The long and short of it is a white woman accused me of raping her to cover up an affair she was having with another African American male. Despite overwhelming evidence that placed me away from the crime scene, I had to go to trial to get the charges dropped and then I had to sue again to be exonerated rather than just found "not guilty (which is not the same as being found innocent)." Then after the truth was discovered, when I tried to sue for slander, nobody would allow me to sue because she was a white woman.

So, I have a huge reason to hate women; especially white women. But I don't. I have a valid reason to distrust women, but I still gauge my relationships with people based upon their own merits and flaws.

Is it easy to maintain that kind of objectivity? No it isn't; not in the least. If I'm out alone, and I come across another woman alone, I make it a point to get away from her as quickly as possible. In fact, if I am alone, I do not speak to women unless it is in a purely professionally sterile situation (i.e. I have to do business with them). I find it very hard to even make eye contact with women sometimes, unless I know them and trust them completely (I usually focus on their foreheads because if you look down, "you're talking to their breasts").

I hate that women have such an overwhelming power over us because of feminist hysteria. I'm disgusted by the women who engender that kind of hate and I feel sorry for those who buy into it. Not all women do, though and for that I'm glad.

And then there's Oprah Winfrey; she holds a "special place" in my heart of hearts.... :) In case I am not clear, I do hate Oprah Winfrey for the major role she played in creating the misandrist society we live in today. If she was being attacked in the street, I would walk the other way and let it happen...unless I had a video camera. There are other women who I do hate, but I hate them as individuals and for the individual acts of evil that they have done, but I do not hate them because they are women.

I have no issue with women. But I do take issue with a lot of abuse that gets perpetrated in the name of feminism. To be fair, there are a large number of feminists who really do care about equality and fairness. But they don't seem to be the ones driving that train.

I personally don't hate women, but I do tend to be... lets say irritable... when it comes to the self proclaimed feminist.

For example, I was walking out of the local bookstore, and saw there was someone behind me. Because I'm not a dick, I held the door for what turned out to be a woman. I was then shouted at for being a sexist pig who was working to set back women's rights. Because I held a door.

I don't hate women as a rule, but if they show they hate me for having a penis, then I'm willing to start writing people off. Edit for clarity.

I think I'd be lying if I didnt say that I didnt have a problem with women in general. When I was a baby my mother left me and my grandma raised me. My grandma was emotionally distant and left me alone; emotional neglect. I was the youngest kid in my class during grade school so I got picked on not only by guys but also girls. They would always tell me something to the extent that I was ugly or disgusting. Jr High I was sexually harassed by girls. Probably not in the way you think of sexual harassment. They would tell me that I might have a small dick or a pussy cause I was one.

I have a subconscious fear of women now. Its hard for me to develop relationships with women because I get very scared that they will hurt me.

I certainly don't harbour any animosity at all. I've seen the resentment you're referring to, but I believe that it has a claim of legitimacy. Many men have been thrown under the bus, so to speak, in today's society. That said, it's no more voracious than what I see in r/feminisms and r/2x. It seems that when a group feels marginalised, it will harbour a level of anger towards those it believes have caused the problem.

To answer your last question: yes, I do believe women have it "better" than men in the industrialised world at present. We achieved equality some time in the 90s, but feminism kept pushing. Now the pendulum has swung in the other direction. This has birthed the men's rights movement. As I've said before, we are a reaction to an illegitimate force for dominance. Feminism now shares but a name with the movement of the early 1900s.

I don't hate women at all, not one bit. As a matter of fact, I am extremely happily married, and very much in love with, the most beautiful woman in the world.

First, what I think about women in general: very little. I am a staunch individualist. A woman has to prove herself to me as a human being just as much as a man. I can use a bit of statistical inference to do a quick sizing up of someone, but this is practically useless with gender alone, and half the time is wrong even with more reliable factors. I could say some things that I think about women, often very positive, but they are only right part of the time. I believe in freedom; women must be able to make their own choices, just as men. Of course, this freedom comes at a small price: you must allow everyone else to be free as well. That may even mean allowing someone to discriminate against you, because part of freedom is choosing who to associate with, who to hire and what to pay them. That said, the government has no right to discriminate in any way, at all, period (of course they do, constantly).

I think women are much better off in the industrialized world; I would not wish it on any women (except perhaps murderers!) to be in a non industrialized country (perhaps with minor exceptions; I do not know the details of every country).

What I do hate, with a true passion, is women who think they are by definition better than men and should get special privileges, power and control. I am sickened by the idea that the woman in a divorce should automatically be given the children, the house, a bunch of money, etc. I am sickened by the idea that men accused of rape should be treated guilty until proven innocent (and not even really then). I could go on... No one who rationally looks at the new, history, and the statistics should say these things don't happen. Anyone who says these things are alright earns status as someone filled with evil.

I have learned over the years that women are no different then men when it comes down to it. They just have different sexual organs and were raised different. Without gender roles I think it would be hard to tell them apart if you were chatting with them online and didn't have anything to go on for what sex they were.

I think women are great, I do not distrust them. On the contrary, I really enjoy their company immensely.

I think it is a shame the laws have developed to where they are today to make men have to fear making an advance on a woman because of the threat of a sexual harassment charge. Of course, the upside of this is I believe women are becoming more aggressive as men become less assertive. This makes my life much easier.

I think it is a shame that many men are learning that there is no longer and real benefits for them in marriage because of laws that have been completely skewed against them. It is too bad, since most women really want to get married, but the pool of available men is smaller and smaller for reasons of longevity, but also because there is little benefit to men to marry, so often after a first marriage, they choose not to again.

I am not going to play the gender envy game. There are definite advantages and disadvantages each gender. I accept who I am and make the best I can with what I have.

I would say that I fear women in the same way I fear that nations have nuclear weapons. Some have used them, and deal with the repercussions forever, and some use their threat without knowing their devastating powers (meta and physical).

On top of this, I love everything about women, so I can't escape. It's like being addicted to food because you can't give it up, but poor judgment could kill you.

Like most of the men here I am against feminism because it has been instrumental in popularizing, spreading and legalizing forms of misandry.

I think a fair amount of the hateful attitudes we read on the internet - whether they be directed towards a gender, race, ethnicity, religion, etc - aren't so much true expressions of hate as they are people venting their frustrations. Thanks the the wonderful world of anonymity on the internet, people often say things they would never say or do in the real world. There are certainly men out there who hate women (and women who hate men), but I don't think it's as severe a problem as the internet may suggest. First, it's pretty common to hear someone say "Women are evil", "All men are dogs", etc, after getting out of a bad relationship, being hurt or rejected, or seeing friends hurt or rejected. It's venting. It's also fairly natural for someone in his/her teens and early twenties to still feel that desire/fear combo that comes with being attracted to the opposite sex, and to deal with that fear by placing blame for those feelings on others.

I do agree, though, that there does seem to be more men these days looking for double standards where none exist. Today I read an article about a man who is suing a salon for $200,000 because he found out they charged $4 more for men's manicures. He is comparing himself to Rosa Parks. As a woman and a professional, I often worry that I'll be rejected by my male coworkers by some belief that I was hired through some magical affirmative action, or that I mustn't know what I'm talking about due to having boobs, but for the most part I haven't had any problems. Most of the men I encounter day to day are awesome, and if they hate me based on my gender, they're keeping it to themselves just fine.

I worry more about the younger male generation reading what's so commonly posted online, and choosing to become bitter (yes, you choose to be bitter) and un-trusting of women before they've even started dating, or getting out into the real world. I dated a bitter guy once, and even though he seemed nice at first, his complete inability to trust me coupled with his belief that women didn't like "nice guys" like him unless they were rich and gorgeous slowly morphed into non-stop passive aggressive behavior and thinly veiled insults and it ended the relationship. So I guess my advice, to men and women, is not to generalize. Every person is an individual, and if you decide to group all the good people in with the bad apples, you'll sabotage any chance you have at happiness.

I don't hate women (I'm married to one of them - although I long to be single). I think I'm pretty jealous of western women. Just imagine, being born with a vagina and sprouting breasts, and all of a sudden you are a valued human being worthy of respect.

I'm a middle aged guy who still has to prove himself daily. It's not you what have done, but "what have you done lately." As a young man, being from rather modest means, I've been pulled out of my car on at least four occassions when I was just sitting in the car talking to a girlfriend. They made me put my hands behind my head and interrogated me with flashlights in my eyes. The basic assumption is that I'm raping the lady. Women love that story. They are always, "Oh, that's cool. The cops were making sure everything was alright." Standard operating procedure if you're a young guy. I'm sick of having to defer to the lowest common denominator.

In order to try to justify my existance, like many young men, I joined the Marine Corps. I then graduated from college, graduated from graduate school, published my writing in literary magazines and professional magazines, exhibited my art, volunteer for government committees and non-profits - and yet, if I walk into a room of strangers accompanied by a woman, I'm invisible until the dominance ritual occurs, where one justifies one's existance to strangers. I am also very socially astute and entertaining to be around. But that takes a fuck of a lot of energy; reading people, charming them - it's a drag. Can you imagine walking into a room in a cocktail dress, and all of a sudden your don't have to justify your existance?

Just get's old after awhile.

Does a man every get his reputation back? This is the most horrible crime in our society and time and time again, women lie about men. MOST are not prosecuted, and the men are out untold amounts of money, days or years lost out of their lives, and their name tarnished forever. Just like in this article, the police were too afraid of the women's political lobby to treat her appropriately.

Every magazine and TV show in the trumpets the fact that women are better than men in every aspect, and sometimes on the same cover bemoan the fact that women are nothing more than the victim of men.

Have you looked at divorce statistics? How often are marital assets sold and divided equally, with custodial guardianship of children left to the parent best capable of raising them? Between 85 and 99% of the time (depending on who's statistics you want to use), women get the home, the children, spousal support and child support all the while the man is required to continue to pay the mortgage and insurance for the house and children. The latest travesty in this arena comes from courts ordering men to pay for children that have been proved by DNA not to be theirs. Really? Why don't they go after the REAL father? Because the women can't be "forced" to reveal their names.

It isn't about hating women, but about hating the VERY REAL double standard that women deny while hiding behind it constantly. Women want to dress like whores in a club them bitch about men looking at them. They want to demand jobs and careers, then scream discrimination when they can't do them, (Look at the training videos from several big city fire departments for just one example). Title 9 forces schools to allocate an insane amount of money to women's sports programs compared to what they bring in (how about you get your budget based on your programs revenue? Oh right, because women's sports programs run in the red in EVERY major school in the country.)

Women owned businesses get preference in government contracts, women are eligible for government social programs that men are not, and the lopsided verdicts of women vs men in courts would be laughable if not so tragic.

No double standard? You don't have to listen to the grumblings of guys on a web site, or sitting around a campfire in a drum circle to think see that there is an ENORMOUS double standard. Look up the stats for yourself. Look up the number of false reports of rape and assault that women file against men, then look up the number of women charged for those crimes. Look up the number of state and federal laws that give women and women owned businesses unfair advantages against men. Look up the number of government agencies that have had to change their standards or create double standards (wow there's that term again), so that more women can be hired.

To say that there is no double standard is either ignorant or painfully naive. I know that it is 2010, I know that television bombards us with the "Xena warrior princess" image of all women, but the reality is that not only is the double standard real, but women's groups who scream against it in public, spend MILLIONS of dollars to maintain it in private.

In the end, it isn't so much as hatred of women, but blatant hypocrisy of the women's movement. It's the narrowness of the corner that they have painted men into. Perhaps it's just the frustration of the situation, if you give into the double standard, you are a wimp, and if you complain about it you a misogynist. In the end, whatever the final reason or combination of reasons, the hatred of women comes from the VERY real and hurtful male bashing brought about by the double standard that affects us all sooner or later.

I'm a woman and I find I harbor a lot of negative feelings towards other womens' attitudes.

It galls me when I see other girls complain hours on end about equality and how men will never respect us, but I can scarcely think of any women I know who can change a tire on their own, or can write their own resumes to a satisfactory degree, or even manage their own money. They can get away with it because they can rely on men (even though they bash them nonstop) to do these things for them.

If women ever want to live in a world free from misogyny, then we need to learn to be independent and not adopt the self-destructive philosophy that we can just get guys to do everything for us so we don't have to do it ourselves.

Not only that, feminists think that women are somehow superior to men at damn near everything. This, too, is a destructive idea, because it simply isn't true. There will be things, especially things demanding physical strength, that women can't do; to demand that women be allowed into such positions enforces the belief that gender equality is flawed.

I love my mother, my sisters, my nieces, and my aunts. I'm still pissed off at my ex though. So no, in general I do not.

What I have animosity towards is how women approach relationships with men. You could even call it jealousy, except women claim not to see how women have the upper hand in relationships.

I understand there is a difference between women as a gender and women that are spoiled rotten bitches - and yes, I hate the spoiled rotten bitches.

So don't think that just because there is anger/resentment in MensRights that it is towards all women or unjustified.

Honestly, I personally hate many women. Nutty women drivers, the women who walk around on their cell phone when their attention is needed elsewhere (or not, but have that stuck up nature about them and/or yell into their phone like it's a can on a line), and women who are so vehemently against the traditional gender roles ("I hate pink!" for one).

To be fair, though, I hate douchebag men that are too good to drive in one lane, men who have to yell into their phones like it's a can on a line, and men that bow so fiercely to the gender wars that they'll attack their own gender alongside women for being assholes (and citing 1 out of every 10 men out there for the basis of every man). In other words, the guys who claim to be feminists and only say that shit to try to get in the panties of a woman, but doesn't realize he's degrading himself.

So really I hate both genders when they're totally morons and when they want to get pissed at me for being a man and not gender neutral with my nature.

I don't know if I hate women. I used to think I did. I have always, since a child, wished I were a woman. Mostly because I see how women are treated better in every way in our society. But what can I do? Yeah, it sucks being a guy, but there's no recourse.

On a personal level, my sister who is very close in age to myself, has had a wonderful, charmed life. I think it's only because she's female. We are similar in a lot of ways, come from the same household, yet the way the world reacts to us is completely different. Night and day.

I'm not sure if I'm a Men's Rights Advocate because I'm fairly hopeless anything can ever change. I do enjoy the postings, however.

So many of you "love women, hate feminists" as though feminists or women are homogenous groups. It is ridiculous. Most feminists I have ever met are decent and open-minded human beings deeply concerned with equality between the sexes, in addition to other forms of equality. Men's rights are important, to me, as a man, but I see feminists as allies to that cause. If you really love women, my advice is that you should take some time to actually engage open-mindedly with real feminists instead of reproducing the casual, blinkered anti-feminist rhetoric favored by the the media.

Hate is a powerful word that has seemingly lost it's potency in some arenas. I don't hate women, few do. But as a general rule i distrust all women, due to my experiences in life. Western women seem to think they are superior due to the fact that they are born as a women. And then they need support groups because some men don't treat them like princesses. That being said I have many friends that are women, and at times I think I know more women than men. I love spending time with women, as well as men. People enjoy spending time with other people, regardless of the color of their skin or sex. But do I trust my women friends? Not at all.

Wow, that is a pathetic attempt to get some dirt. But I am going to answer it anyway. I feel no hate nor animosity towards women. I very sincerely doubt that more than .01% of MRAs do(I am pretty sure that there are far more feminists who hate men than MRAs who hate women or misogynists in general in the west).

The biggest emotion I have towards women is jealousy. Jealousy that they have basic human rights, that they are able to speak up for those rights without being shamed and that they are advantaged in nearly every way in the west.

I would not rather I was born a woman. I have no idea how it feels to be a woman so I can't know. But it is plain to see that women have it better than men in the west. Anyone with 2 brains cells and the internet can prove that to themselves.

One last thing, your attempt to paint MRAs in a bad light is not going to work. I don't have an animosity towards them, I am frustrated towards many of them for use in passive aggressive tactics for gaining power over others. Playing helpless victim in an attempt to gain the sympathy of others to be as pawns for them.

I will say I harbor animosity towards men who enable this type of behavior, henceforth referred to as "white knights". The type of men who believe that women are pure angelic creatures capable of no evil and spread the ideology that a woman 'grants' you the 'opportunity' to be in her presence. It is entirely the fault of these uneducated and clueless men that women are able to become corrupted with power.

I don't think men have it any worse then women do overall in industrialized countries, nor do I think the reverse.

The disadvantages of being male are very real, and they get a lot less press than the disadvantages of being female. Most revolve around society treating men as disposable ("women and children first"). Men are encouraged to take more risks with their lives and more stress, which is why they live 5 years less than women on average. Men have five times the suicide rate that women do. Men are routinely circumcised against their will as infants in the U.S., while cutting the genitalia of women is a harshly punished crime in no uncertain terms, as it should be. Men's declining performance in school is not taken seriously (60% of collage enrollees are now women; a similar decline in female school performance would be seen as a crisis). Are the prisons filled with men or women, for the most part?

Nor have women been disadvantaged in the grand sweep of history: 80% of women have managed to live long enough to have at least one child but only 40% of men have. What do you suppose happened to those "extra" men?

This pretty much reveals the nature of the person making this thread. In China, Iran etc you could make the same shaming language against those anti-government activists who have the sense to remain anonymous.

Posts like this, made by feminist trolls, which inevitably get massively upvoted, really do deter a lot men's rights activists from participating here. Feminist infiltrators like her want to present the oppression of men as just a few legal anomalies in the system. Maybe the custody law courts are biased a little in favour of women. Maybe men do have a right to a more equal share of parenting. If all of us men's rights supporters will just be a bit nicer to our feminist masters, perhaps they will deign to fix it for us. Meanwhile, the larger mission of feminism as a sexual trade union which is criminilizing and locking up more men as subhumans every single day goes unchallenged, and any MRA who raises it is a woman hater and an extremist.

Regarding the shaming argument that expressions of hate towards women (and I don't see many at all here, just hate and anger towards women's actions) do our cause more harm than good. We all know that the reason for lack of progress is the difficulty in WAKING MEN UP from their chivalrous slumber to what women are doing to them. As for your argument : would you really rather be born a woman? That is a completely meaningless rhetorical question. Gender is so embedded into our sense of self that it is impossible to take seriously. Most Jews entering the Triblinka showers would still say they would rather be born Jews in Nazi Germany. I wouldn't 'rather be born a woman' because if I was/had been, I wouldn't have been me. But I would seriously consider the wisdom of ever bringing a son into this world.

some years ago my sister in law used her marriage to my brother as a tool to confiscate my home. her agreements weren't worth the vapor she uttered them with. she was the cartoon femi-nazi that rush limbeau talks about. she went to my friends behind my back. she spied on me in my bathroom, she damaged decades of work.

there was a time when i thought all women were like this and i hated them.

but after some years, and with the patient help of 3 of my best friends who are women, i began to undo her damage. i had lots of help from my best girls.

I don't hate women in the slightest(I, like many here I'm sure, am surrounded with many women for whom I care for as well). I do get, however, especially frustrated with misandry(both in culture and in individuals, male or female); a feminist movement who dishonestly uses equality as a platform to propagate its own biased/sexist goals and ideologies; and any other forms of inequality/prejudice(All of which I see as issues, or negative effects/influences, that need to be rectified or, at the very least, called on; especially when they are ignored/belittled as they are against men).

I do find that there is a sense of "female" entitlement/privilege, narcissism, solidarity and/or apathy/resentment/belittlement against men that is common to a lot, if not the vast majority, of women(although it is still encouraged by both genders. Such attitudes can also be found, in similar or different ways, in both men as well, though they are typically only socially tolerated/encouraged in women) but, in the end, I will still make the conscious effort not to hate or stereotype women for it; there's already to much of that going on.

Kind of a pointless question, even knowing that my life would have been significantly easier had I been born a woman, in the end I am what I am; nothing could ever change that. My gender has and always will be a significant part of my development as an individual; it makes me who I am.

What I dislike most about MOST women. a. They link their emotions with events that really don't matter like putting the butter in the Mac and Cheese AFTER adding the milk! ( Who gives a fuck, its Mac and Cheese!)

b. NOT saying what they mean and meaning what they say. (Always making a game show out of trying to make a point, they can't come straight out with a statement and leave it at that. Its always a series of why and what if questions.)

c. Most women will look at what a man is not and dwell on that as oposed to being thankful for what he is. ( My case, I don't drink , do dope, chase women or watch TV or play video games. I work hard and play hard and take pride in my family and business. But fuck me for not calling when I am 1/2 hour late getting home from work. And have to listen to the bullshit for 2 hours.)

I hate people on an individual basis and while I admit to using sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or other general phobic insults during arguments I do it solely to infuriate and hurt people I have no like for what so ever. While this may make me come across as a grumpy asshole in life I'm very easy to get along with which probably stems from a deep curiosity held for my fellow humans and their lives.

With women specifically though acting like an airhead to appear "cute" and "attractive" (which they are the main culprits of) will quickly result in my anger or a blunt observational comment before walking away.
