Yes. My friend is in an abusive relationship right now. He convinced her that her phone got hacked and freaked her out enough that she shares his phone. All contact with friends and family is through him. I tried texting her on her birthday but he blocked my number. She's totally isolated from her family, no one can even get through to her! I hate him so much! My friend useful to be so independent, was doing well for herself and he made her quit her job and cash out her 401k! Pretty sure they're doing hard drugs together 😞 I can only hope she wakes up someday, or she runs out of money and he leaves. Why do men think they can do things like this????

Ever since joining FDS I have made the change to not talking badly about women, especially im context of a man. For example, when I was jealous over a man, I used to find myself subtly insulting „the other woman” in my head or out loud to my friends. Or when my friends were hurt by a guy liking someone else, I would cheer them up by saying that she is better than the other woman. Now I never comment on women’s appearances, only to compliment. I cannot imagine how I could say such things. I have also convinced my sister and best friends to never talk badly about other women. I am ashamed of the way I used to be, but I am happy I could make a change in myself and my girlfriends!

Men say this ain't true, but I'm pretty sure every woman can remember that one boyfriend who said things like "I don't want you to talk to X, she's a bad influence" and listed some weird reasons to support his argument.

My friend's husband tried to prevent her from talking to me, because "married women have to be friends only with other married women". I thought he's a great guy and never said anything bad about him to my friend, so this kind of hostility was baffling. Now I know why they do that.

One old friend fell off the radar when she “wasn’t good with computers” so we communicated through her husband’s email address. Then she stopped replying. Years later, she happened to be by his computer as he was on Hotmail and saw that I was online and was all, holy sh*t, where have you been? I knew he was there so I didn’t ask why didn’t you answer my emails? I knew right then and there he wouldn’t let her see my emails. That’s why.

I see this all the time and see women AGREEING. They say women have superficial and fake friendships that are only based on appearances. They can speak for themselves, I have plenty of genuine female friendships because I don’t believe in befriending males. Just because it’s easier to make scrote “friends” (opportunists) doesn’t mean they have to perpetuate that all women are catty to each other

The most dangerous are the ones who say they’re supportive of your friendships, but over time they’ll start sneaking in little criticisms like, “she’s just using you” or “she treats you like her personal therapist” or “the friendship seems really one sided” when you help a friend through a hard time, even though that friend may have been there for you through similar hard times over the long term. If the guy is good enough at manipulating you, you’ll end those friendships and think it was your own idea.
