BDSM men are one trick ponies. Just because they watch a bunch of gonzo porn and know shibari, they automatically think they're sex gods. Take away all the equipment and they are absolutely terrible in bed. No passion. No rhythm. No general knowledge of basic female anatomy.

My response to the evo-psych rationale for BDSM as somehow both "natural" and "progressive" is that it can't be both, not specifically in the context of sexuality. Even if the woman thinks she likes being a sub, and even if she doesn't believe that her taste for pain and humiliation wasn't artificially culturally implanted and simply reflects a kind of natural personal preference that evolved from our poly ape ancestors or blah-blah-whatever and is an act of resistance against sexual repression, I agree with primatologist and evolutionary scientist Richard Wrangham that the planet can only be saved if women counter those submissive instincts in every way possible.

That's because, contrary to lame pop-science claims, we didn't evolve from the kinder-gentler, groovy feminist bonobos (who branched off 5m years before humans) but from the shared ancestor of the Clockwork Orange, violently patriarchal, regular chimp for whom sex has always been rape. Our ape ancestors were also infanticidal cannibals who suicidally destroyed every habitat they occupied. Real "resistance" is to defy those behavioral patterns, even the supposedly symbolic forms of patriarchal repression in BDSM.

Anyway, women have such a problem in general with mobilizing against inequality that I don't see anything laudable about polishing one's taste for submission and then prosyletizing the practice to the next generations of women. At the very least, it's stupid to call rapey ape sexuality "progressive." Can we please drop that bit of bs spin? If anything, it's a return to specie's tradition.

I know a guy into BDSM. I found him pretty attractive so we messed around a bit. He loved not allowing me to orgasm and never had sex with me. He is like 50 and never had a girlfriend, his whole thing is BDSM with strangers but I'm guessing he doesn't find a lot of women into that. Very strange man. Good looking but weird af. To me BDSM is a red flag, they probably have intimacy issues and mental issues.
