ok this post lives in my head rent free for several reasons. first off, she didn't emotionally spiral, she went immediately into planning mode, figured out what she was going to do to preserve HER PEACE by removing herself from this shitbag. she had the resources to make it happen and she never backtracked. I'm sick of these "how to I confront my man.." posts from pickmes, you don't confront or type paragraphs, you dip.

I wouldn't have left the food and the game tbh. I know people will say she was showing him what he lost. but if he was having an affair he already didn't appreciate her. When a man doesn't value you, giving him more of the same won't suddenly change that.

I did this once (20 years ago when I was young haha) but found a bunch porn DVDs, skin mags, and Kleenex (🤢). I wish I’d done what this girl did! Instead, I got mad but rationalized it for another three years as he became emotionally then physically abusive, continued to use porn, and went on European sex tourism vacations with his skeevy friend while refusing to vacation with me because I couldn’t afford to go 50/50. 🤡🤡🤡

Idk, I've seen this post circulating for many years and I still think it would have been much better for her to eat his breakfast and take back that game she brought him, and only leave the keys. Also, if she omitted that last sentence about how good he had it with her for 5 years, seems a bit too optimistic to think that since he obviously didn't care that much about her in the first place before choosing to cheat.

Why leave the breakfast and game, like I don't understand this mentality of rewarding him in any way for cheating. I'd have left, pretended I was never there, and then ghosted so he would have no idea what happened.

This is extreme! I once moved out of a shared house with an ex while he was at work when I found out he had cheated on me… but I kept my number and just ignored his calls. And if anyone asked, I told them what happened and that there wasn’t a conversation we could have that would have changed my mind, so i chose to do it without confrontation while he wasn’t home.

Everyone was really cool about it. He tried to fix things for a couple weeks, then I don’t know, was so ashamed or had so many people give him shit that he moved home to Washington (we lived in Arizona)
