My mom has hit me a few times growing up. Once so serious that my eye swelled shut and I couldn't go to school the next day. She denies any abuse ever happened. She also verbally, and on occasion, physically abuses my dad. She's also an extreme type of feminist, almost the same type of woman you'd find on FDS. Not quite sure which choice to pick

I experienced the most extreme abuse sexual, physical, and mental/emotional from my father and other men, but some emotional/mental abuse and physical violence from my mother, violence and sexual abuse from other female adults, and physical and mental/ emotional abuse from female "friends". I'm a small guy, only 5ft 1, and my highschool friend hit me in the head hard, which is a huge C-PTSD trigger for me, she was 6 inches taller than me and outweighed me by 100 pounds. I hit her back. I make it very clear to people, I will defend myself and I don't care what gender you are, you hit me and I will fight back. This same "friend" was extremely abusive as were a few other female "friends" throughout my life.

I've since learned that I deserve better and don't tolerate being treated badly. My mother and I have even healed our relationship. She experienced extreme abuse as a child so she had to learn better ways to be, but she is no longer abusive in any way.

Excluding family I've been assaulted, molested, and raped.

Hit once with a pool cue in the crotch at a bar, she said it was "funny."

I've been groped, both groin and ass at bars and concerts multiple times.

Cracked ribs from an ex, no I didn't provoke her or touch her in a mean or negative way ever.

I've been hit, kicked, punched, stabbed, and slapped by so many women I can't even remember them all. Some I knew, others I didn't.

I almost forgot, I had one lady throw a baseball sized rock at me once, no idea who she was.

Last but not least: had an ex try to cut my dick off, and I still have the scar to prove it.

I wonder how many people reading this will think "what did you do to deserve it?" That's victim blaming. Men can be abused. Men are people too. Men have feelings, because MEN ARE PEOPLE TOO.

Once in a club, a girl was using the lack of space as an excuse to dance on top of me, rubbing her ass on the side of my leg. I had a couple of beers so I couldn't tell if she was totally sober or not. I was aware of the environment but already lacking in the ability to focus on the details. I know I pushed her back gently a few times but she was always coming back at it. So after a while I got angry and shoved her with more power. She decides to slap me so hard in the face that I completely sobered up. One of her nails scratched my face and I even bled a bit. I slapped her back, she fell on the floor. The guy next to her (I don't know if he was her friend or if he was just there) grabs my shirt and starts pushing me, I took it as someone trying to start a fight so I headbutted him, hitting his nose. Not sure if I broke it but I ended up being expelled from the club, among with my friends who were with me. Had they not defended me, I'd have been in trouble because more guys were grouping up and getting ready to gang up on me.

My ex-girlfriend used to beat me. It started with slaps to the face and me being pushed into walls. I didn't retaliate or try to defend myself at first because I loved her and didn't want to hurt her. She had nearly total control over me. Whenever she wanted me to do something, she would raise her hand or step towards me and I would do it. Despite that, she escalated to punching, kicking, and choking me. The last time, I panicked and hit her back in the face as hard as I could. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but we fought, I lost, and she continued to beat me in the head until and probably after I was unconscious. I woke up in the hospital with (most likely permanent) brain damage that makes it difficult to focus and remember things.

The police tried to interview me in the hospital, but I refused to talk to them. No-one was arrested, and I have never told anyone except for my current girlfriend. I told everyone else that I was attacked by a stranger who wanted to rob me. It feels impossible to tell anyone who knew her what she did because it would be impossible for them to reconcile my story with the version of her they knew.

I have learnt a very important technique from my school training and you all too should learn it - how to dodge (slaps). By crouching down (hard to put in use) or moving back very quickly (quite easy). You of course need some practice beforehand. But it is very beneficial. And the 'slapper' gets startled and you can react.

My mother despised me because I was born with a disability and wasn’t “as great” as the other kids her friends and family had. She would have hysteric fits and beat me for hours, cut my skin, swing any heavy object she could find at me. She would hurt me sometimes for no other reason than just to laugh about it. A lot of the time I was told how worthless I was, that I would be better off killing myself, no one would miss me. A lot of times I would have to convince her and other family members not to hurt me when they would hold a knife to my neck and threaten me. There’s a lot of other things that happened which I won’t say on a public post… but the hardest part of it was getting anyone else to care. Most people (including therapists) will just look at me, and tell me it’s got nothing to do with them, that it’s my problem and something I have to figure out on my own. A lot of people tell me that it happened in the past, it shouldn’t affect me anymore. Others ask me what did I do to deserve it.

Every night, right before I go to sleep, the worst thoughts and memories run through my mind. I get nightmares about it every couple nights but I’ve just accepted that’s just the way things are, and are gonna be for a while. No point in trying to look for help anymore.

Ignoring that and focusing on what I enjoy doing does give me peace of mind, though.

Time to dump my story.

So I was involved with this girl when I was a teenager and her dad worked in the oil and gas industry and got me a job with him because they where screaming for staff. Things where looking alright for me, I hosted a party with a number of close friends in my hometown when we went on vacation. I made a lonely island reference, then my girlfriend proceeded to tell a story about I had a case of premature ejaculation and proceeded to make fun of me, I said I wished I cold slap her.

Big mistake. She left immediately and I got a call from her father to not come back to work and I owe him money for her flight home. I told him what happened and he called me a liar and said she felt afraid for her life and was worried she might never go home. So I drive by my self back home and he was waiting for me in my own home with the roid monkey brother. They ambush me and choke me unconceuous outside In the snow. I call the cops to get them arrested and they said I deserved it because the dad called the police station and told them her side of the story. The only reason I avoided courts was our boss sat us down and transfered the other man to another station. I had red marks on my neck for weeks.

So not directly but indirectly physically harmed by a woman, when a woman calls the cops it's a Instant removal of a man's rights without due process.

I had a girlfriend who would hit me, choke me, pin me down, etc. She was much stronger than me and extremely quick to anger, but she would always be very apologetic afterwards, and broke up with me after a particularly violent episode because she said that she couldn't control herself and didn't want to hurt me.

She was horribly abused by her parents as a child, and may have had physical brain damage from being hit in the head by them. She was arrested for assaulting her next boyfriend and died in jail. I'm almost sure she was murdered by the guards, but officially she committed suicide. I mourn her death and I think she was a wonderful person when she was not violent and that her violence wasn't her fault because of the abuse she suffered, but I can't think about her without reliving the terror and pain she inflicted on me and at least 2 other people.

I grew up with a lot of respect for women, which I still have, and it's a lucky thing because I was in a relationship once where my partner became more and more controlling and ocassionally violent.

Once I was 5 mins late coming home one night to our hotel room while I was out with a friend we were on holidays with. She was already in bed, and didn't say anything when I got in but she freaked out when I was going to sleep. I opened my eyes as she dug her nails into my chest and hit me in the face repeatedly.

I had the wherewithal in that moment to just get out of the bed and remove myself from the situation. Useful advice I'd gotten when I was younger from a trainer when doing some boxing and fighting sports was to remove yourself from a situation prior to reacting if possible. Also when it comes to relationships, "don't raise your voice, don't raise your hand" and you will be safer as a man from false accusations. This stood me well on that night and in the aftermath.

In the end I left her and she could never say I'd done anything untoward, which I hadn't and no one should. She's on her own journey and I wish her well, I'm just glad to be free of all that irrational behaviour and danger.

My mom enjoys giving "love taps" to both my father and I. Some of those love taps have a lot of force behind them. She wouldn't tolerate being hit herself with anything even 10% that strong.

My own sister likes to punch me in the stomach, but it's kind of a holdover from when I was doing martial arts and we trained in that way exactly. Still, she's fine with hitting me, which I tolerate, but she seems very unwilling to being hit back with even a quarter as much strength.

My ex only hit me once, but that was after the relationship had turned controlling, toxic, and mentally, verbally, and psychologically abusive. It was a bad relationship, we were not fit for each other, and we hurt each other by staying in a dysfunctional relationship, but still, I never hit her.

There is a clear and consistent pattern of women hitting men often, and men not hitting back. Aba and Preach have a great video on it.

Interestingly enough, in Canada men are more likely to be victims of domestic abuse than women.

Female violence against men is not seen as serious, because women are perceived as weak and as though they can't hurt men, who are perceived as stronger and tougher.

This is an outdated gender role and if we're going to have an egalitarian society in the 21st century, women need to be told it's not ok to hit their partner.

Happened to me in seventh standard. (When I was 11)

Our English teacher on a Monday instructed us to carry an exercise book on Thursday , which slipped my mind. On informing her about it , I was greeted by "How dare you even on my reminding" plus I got wringed on my ear and punched on my back by the 220 pound plus lady . At that time , I was thin as a stick. One of my male classmates also got slapped iirc for the same reason. All this while the girls not bringing the copy got no visible admonishment by the same teacher.

I informed my parents obviously and my Dad confronted the principal for such harsh corporal punishment meted out to me. The teacher was summoned in his chamber and severely bashed and warned for her actions. :) But it didn't stop right there. The next class some other boy was caught talking and she told him "Yes school is a place for chatting. Please continue. And if your teacher scolds you bring a written complaint to the principal" thus taking a cheeky and unprofessional dig at me. My classmates were aware of what was going off-screen , but no one including myself was actually mature about the gravity of the situation.

I've been sexually assaulted by a woman in the workplace jn front of cameras. Nothing came of it. The following week my elbow accidentally touched her breast while I was carrying IT equipment (and in front of plenty of witnesses. Was fired 2 hours later. Took them to court never intended to look into my initial 'incident', never questioned witnesses in the second nor reviewed cctv footage of both.

The boss fired the entire HR department and brought I'm outside company.

Slapped and even had a glass thrown at me. Because I invited my mother and brother (my dad is dead) at my place for coffee with only a one day notice. While inviting her relatives for anything without telling me or only 5 mins notice is ok. I never retaliated, I didn't even know how fucked up the relationship was until she cheated. And even then I was begging for us to "try again". But good thing she said no. 3 years free from hee. I did move on to another abusive relationship, but got out earlier.

A girl accidentally kicked me in the face at a playground. I expected an apology but instead I was mocked by her and her friend, they taunted me with "you can't do anything, we're girls". infuriated by the fact that they didn't feel bad about this at all, I cussed at them for insulting me and soon afterwards one of them started crying her eyes out because of what I said. All her friends were trying to comfort her and suddenly I was made too look like the a-hole. What's funny is I got kneed in the face again on the same day by someone else because of an argument. Years later they tried bringing up the situation again to make me feel guilty even though all I did was cuss.

I was raped when i was 6 yo by 2 teenage girls and again at 10-11 years old by another teenage girl which blackmailed me by telling me she would go to pollice and tell them i raped her and i believed it. For 5 6 month she tried to make me penetrate her but i couldn't and she would force me into doing oral and didn't care that I was crying begging her to let me go home it only stopped when i moved.I told my mother almost 10 years later and her response was that it was a dream. after i convinced her that it was real she told me that I should confess to a priest because as a male it is my sin. even though she forced me(i told her only about the teenage girl that blackmailed me, when i saw her reaction it seemed pointless to tell her the rest)

I rarely remembered anything in my childhood but during at my age of 4-5 i kinda remember sexual or Physical abused by some 64 old women, But my most detailed experience that abused that i was wearing an paired orange clothes i was screaming and she strangled me until i fainted and i dont know what happens next but when i wake up i was fully naked. I kinda have that clue cuz my sister always say that when i was screaming(she presumably says tantrum) ill go quiet for a long time and when she goes to check. i was naked (Hopefully this event isnt true)

I'm a woman, and I'm deeply ashamed to admit I've hit my brothers when we were younger bc I was an emotionally troubled teen who didn't know how to express anger because of our abusive mother. I remember a lot of the moments and they all make me cry and feel so guilty. I don't know if I can ever forgive myself for what I did and talk about it with my therapist. I don't know if they remember what I did but I try to make it up to them by being the best big sister I can.

To all the men who have been abused, I'm sorry it happened. I maybe might not be able to speak on behalf of all women but know that I am on your side and there are good women out there who can be friends, girlfriends, wife's, or even just a stranger offering a shoulder to cry on.

The next moment is one of my oldest and clearest memories. My fist closed, I considered the likely result of what I was contemplating doing. She would have gone through the far wall. It just seemed too extreme for how hilariously little damage she actually did. I really didn't bother considering anyone elses reaction, because I didn't get past the point of 'should I even do this'

The moment passed, she left and I moved on.
