All this, plus “festive season” sounds like a cheap schmuck of a guy who professes not to recognize Christmas or Hanukkah - so he won’t have to buy any gifts. But probably accepts gifts from others 🙄

In my family it was common to be scolded for stuff like this, like using too much paper tissue when wiping things. I'm kind of a fan of using such tissue (or tp but it dissolves) for disgusting stuff that I do not want in a rag like disgusting messes the cats create especially or anything with the floor involved, especially where the cats are (they go outside and hunt and despite precautions I don't want any parasites or germs in our good kitchen towels), or also anything with dust and hair involved because it's a pain in the ass to remove this from a rag and it could clog the drain so I prefer to just use a paper towel which I throw away. I'm also sometimes just disgusted by the idea of touching a rag with disgusting stuff to clean it, and using rubber gloves creates waste as well.

Long story short, I'm glad I don't have to listen to the constant complaining of how wasteful I am anymore when I use two instead of one sheet. Stuff like this really messes with you, constantly sending the message of how you're wrong the way you are. Often for the most arbitrary things and often for the wrong reasons: by people who are offended because they feel attacked. My family did have cleaning habits that would drive me up a wall, but did I ever complain how dirty and messy it was?
