My first ex did this to a much lower degree, she created a fake Facebook account and basically fought with all her friends pretending to be me for like 2-3 years after we broke up. One of the guys messaged me on my real Facebook saying he was at my work looking for a fight (it was my previous employer, I didn't work there anymore).

After about an hour of explaining I didn't know who he was and that's not my Facebook he cooled off and understandably had and felt like an idiot, apologized and drove home to clear everything up with his buddies who all also hated me. I told him she was nuts and after looking through years of weird and aggressive comments from her to everyone I reported it to Facebook. Everything was cool after that and the guy sent me pictures of her reacting to the callout, she moved quickly after and they never heard from her again.

That was over a decade ago Facebook profile is still up lol
