liberal feminism has failed in the sense that it hasn’t done enough to address rape culture. it’s normalized hook up culture and casual sex to the point that young women are being groomed by it. it serves male interests in many ways.

it has also allowed pick up artists, incels, MGTOW and MRA’s to behave in a predatory way towards young women with no repercussion or consequence in society. those groups are at the heart of modern misogyny.

Liberal feminism is the patriarchys idea of what freedom for women is. "Be available for money! Sell your nudes online!" . Having women easily accessible is what the patriarchy has always wanted. Earlier it was through monetary coercion (no education for you, stay at home and be unable to support yourself woman). Since overt control is getting harder, and women have more options than before, its found a way to scam women into opressing themselves through trading consent for money.

Most of what liberal feminism fights for is indeed things that only benefit men and low value men at that: the sex trade, the "kink" and casual sex as empowering among other things.

I mentor young women , and it's a struggle to get them to understand that by posting endless half-naked pictures of themselves on Instagram, they're just serving themselves up on a platter. The great supermodel of the 90s Linda Evangelista once said something like "I don't get out of bed for less than 10,000 dollars a day" but in 2022 women are just giving it away for free. What has been sold as empowerment is nothing more than contributing to millions of creepy weirdos spank banks.

I grew up in the 90's and I actually believe society has gotten WORSE for women.

90's media was problematic, but at least Rachel Green and Carrie Bradshaw being successful career women was glamorized and not simply derided as being a 'girlboss'. Prostitutes or strippers that appeared in sitcoms were treated as objects of pity, not something to aspire to. Whenever one of the characters on Friends had a date, it was always a dinner date, that was just the accepted norm.

I remember when Titanic was released in theaters and seeing Kate Winslet's breasts was a Big Deal. Now every cable show has tits flashing across the screen because God forbid an interesting story might be enough to keep an audience hooked. Game of Thrones shoves pornified sex scenes down our throats that are utterly devoid of love, romance, intimacy or tenderness.

Women are now shamed as prudes and sex negative for refusing to accept being beaten, strangled or anally raped by their intimate partner. Women expecting a man to pay for a date are gold-digging, high maintenance bitches and controlling abusers if we expect sexual fidelity by preferring our boyfriend doesn't jerk off to trafficked underage rape victims. We're close-minded if we're against our partner 'oPenIng thE rElaTioNshiP' because the idea of sister-wives is fucking gross and disrespectful. You can call it "polyamory" but it's far right ideas dressed in Leftist language and we're refusing to swallow the bullshit.

This attitude to sex by FDS is one of the biggest 'complaints' in threads where people are talking about how toxic we are. A lot of men feel we are denying women something that can be just plain fun and enjoyable and we are turning it into a big deal.

For the scrotes in the back: It is not FUN for us. The risk to reward ratio is the OPPOSITE of yours. We literally get nothing out of it but worry and feeling used. Either be better at your casual sex game, where we don't have to worry about STDs, pregnancy or death and we feel appreciated, given an orgasm and not used or accept that our advice is not denying women any fun. It's denying you usage of our bodies.

The other 2 major complaints on the ''FDS is toxic'' threads are : we just want someone to pay for everything and to be dependent on a man (despite numerous pages discussing how that takes away our power and we need to earn our own money) and we are bitter and men also get their hearts broken (despite statistics on the danger for us, and thousands and thousands of books, stories etc. of the load women carry in relationships) - again the risk to reward for us is the opposite of men, hence our standards need to be way higher. Men need to make relationships worth while - why would we want someone sitting around our homes making a mess and ignoring us? I don't get it - be present and make us a priority or we are going to walk away. If I get better convos with my gfs, feel heard and appreciated when I'm with them - what is the use of you?

How many times have you seen a Reddit account claim to be a woman who LOOOOOVES porn, kinky sex, 50/50 walk dates, and the like so other women are just too picky? Or men commenting that their partners are such women?

It's an attempt at conditioning. These women are on board and they're cool, why can't you be like them?

It's no coincidence that these tenets of liberal feminism just so happen to align with what LVM want. You think the men screeching about how entitled we are to want a men who genuinely like us, are feminists? Come on.

I feel like posts like this are always too broad. I consider myself both liberal and a feminist. That said, we need to fight hard against porn and the normalization of "sex work". I'm seeing more of my liberal feminist friends realizing that these things are detrimental to women and the true opposite of feminism. Many women realized back in 2008 that the nonsense spewed by a woman like Sarah Palin was not a good thing simply because it came from a woman. There's been a lot of good that has come from liberal feminism and we still need to promote those good things while fighting against porn and various forms of prostitution.

It will be a slow and steady battle but I think ultimately it will be worth it. Conservatives and Republicans damn sure are not going to fight for women's rights. They never have and never will.
