I attended a women's poly support group (context: got out of a long term marriage, curious to learn what dating world was like). I sat and listened, and I recall a woman upset that her 'primary' partner was taking his other partner on a vacation. Not her.

I recall speaking up about it at that point. Like, why would this woman put up with that shit?

Decided, from that experience, it wasn't for me. They gave me a book to read, that I still have but haven't read. No interest in polyamory relationships because I don't place second; It's me, first, and only me who's priority for HVM partner.

Edit: To add, regardless, wouldn't get involved with a guy who's poly.

Let’s put aside the trip to Greece and the specter of your cheating ex. Unlike him, people in polyamorous arrangements usually set ground rules with their partners for opening their relationship to others. (No one is cheating!) Try to understand, as best you can, what your daughter likes about this arrangement and how it satisfies her.

Throughout my teen years, it was considered basic decency to pay for yourself/have your parents pay for your share, if you wanted to go on a trip with a friend or boy/girlfriend and their family.

Why in the world would this change as soon as the people are actually adults and can actually pay for themselves?

The polyamory situation has nothing to do with paying for someone else who is not your own family on a trip. Who would actually expect the mom to do this for a monogamous boyfriend either?

Parents enabling daughter to be deviant and still have good quality of life. I’d say if she wants to spend time with me as her mother she can stop by for dinner and we can discuss her lifestyle choices, or join me doing charity work so she can learn about empathy, but im not paying for her trip to greece because i dont enable bad behavior. Then youll get even more insight on the daughter.
