In a way I think that UMC men going for FIRE instead of having kids(see Mr. Money mustache etc.) is as much or more of a risk to society than low status men becoming disengaged from society or becoming violent. We can control low status men if we have to and such was done for most of history. But society largely depends on middle class and UMC men paying for their own families and then paying for everyone elses via tax transfers.

Also note that humans are group selected against each other; it's not actually necessary for our society to collapse or disintegrate for us to 'lose'. If China / India or wherever is able to keep men of all classes engaged and productive more so than we are then they will eventually outcompete us and gain control of us.

I think that you just really don't understand the male imperative. Like, I don't think you understand how much of our current society is upheld by normal men believing that the current status quo is beneficial. I'm not a normal man, 1% by income or so, 1%er by family wealth, slept with a high number of Women etc, but I was more shocked that people were surprised when the pompass hollywood kid shot up my school, than that it was an inevitability. It seems that most people tend to think that the world is in a steady state equilibrium when its farther from that than it has ever been.

I don't want anything bad to happen to our society, as I benefit greatly. My ancestors have Wikipedia pages for their contributions to the world. But honestly, questions like this reek of naivete to the human condition.

Warning does not equate threat. If someone told you a meteor is heading towards Earth, that’s not a threat. Also the nature of the warning isn’t that a majority of men will enact violence or check out from society, but rather a small minority of the affected men.

Also me explaining the nature of the rhetoric does not equate to me agreeing with its veracity. Personally I think alot of things play into these random outbursts of violence and not everything is about sex. But I do think that people with nothing have nothing to lose and are more likely to not give AF.

Why should I have to pay taxes when women don't want me and I have no hope of having kids? If women can stop having men who they don't want paying taxes for kids and single mothers I'd gladly leave women alone.

It's not a threat. It's an observation based on history. And we have no idea if the same rules apply in a technological age. The main argument is to watch and investigate male sexlessness as if it could possibly have serious consequences at some level.

Also, the idea that there is nothing that could be done about it that would not oppress women is premature. It also shows a lack of imagination. There might indeed be things that could be done that would not be bad for women.

Although I hate to admit this, I do think there is some truth to it (although I think the way they present the argument sometimes can be pretty obnoxious and, yeah, catastrophizing). I think sex needs to be evenly distributed to have a happy and healthy society, to some extent. However, I will also say that men as a group need to take some responsibility too. Men are lagging behind at least in part, because they project their sexuality too much instead of reflecting. They're too focused on what they find sexy and as a result fail to be sexy or even someone they themselves would want to have sex with.
