It’s been almost 16 days in-person and 11 days video chat. It’s brutal. Pure torture. I need some perspective from you guys as I’ve read stories of people going months.

I can’t visit physically and she refuses to respond to my texts/calls that I leave every 1-2 days. She leaves them on read and probably laughs.

She kicked me out, said she was divorcing me, and I had to go many states away since I had no job/savings as SAHD.

After she filed, she stopped videochatting/sending pictures after she swore she would.

Not sure her lawyer told her to do this but I plan on getting temp orders… it’s just so painful while I wait for those. I don’t get how deadbeat dads can just go decades without seeing their kid.

This is the deepest, darkest pain I’ve ever experienced. I think the limbo of not knowing when, or if, I will ever see my kid again is what destroys me the most. My greatest joy is my greatest weakness.

How did you guys handle it?
