What are the qualities in your man that make him a high value man?

I agree with a lot of what was already said, but here are some unique/important ones for me:

High intelligence - I finally don’t feel like I’m mentally 3 steps ahead of the guy I’m with and I know I can trust him to lead me and our future family.

Asks for my opinion - This is so simple, but always surprises me because although he’s older, more experienced, and more intelligent, he wants to know what I think on certain things and values/considers my opinion when making decisions, which is not something I experienced in my past relationships.

He’s *romantic* - This is an unexpected one because everyone has a different definition of romantic, but all it boils down to is making extra efforts to show love and affection towards your partner. I had a previous boyfriend outright tell me that he’s not a romantic guy, which in my head, translated to: he’s a lazy and passive partner who won’t go out of his way for me past the honeymoon stage, if that.

High quality taste in life - By this, I mean he values exercise, the kinds of foods he puts into his body, the select people he lets into his life, etc. He wants to get the most out of his life and will not waste time with low quality things, people, and past-times that don’t fit his vision of growth. It’s the biggest compliment to me because since he’s so “picky” with the things in his life, I am honored that he sees me as not just a partner of high quality, but the best romantic fit for him.

- Really excellent values: loyalty, personal responsibility, family

- Has good priorities

- He is a friend for life to his friends

- Intelligent

- Well informed

- Inspires me to be a better person by how he lives his life

- Excellent father

- Well rounded

- Takes good care of me

- Good at solving problems

- Reads a book to me in bed (a total dream quality for me)

- Really listens to me when we talk about issues

- Excellent at his job without letting his job become his life. Earns a great living doing it.

- Can do things in bed that I thought were the stuff of myth.

- Extremely physically attractive. Like the most physically attractive a man can be. Definitely more physically attractive than all other men.

- In the unlikely event of a zombie apocalypse, I think this man could bring people together and coordinate efforts to keep everyone alive and human.

My husband works his ass off making 6 figures for our family, going on long business trips and working insane hours; and still finds the energy to give our boys and family farm the energy needed to keep things running smoothly and support me. This is a man who can fly in from another state and land at 1am, then be up bright and early to build a barn or till and plant crops.

So I think high value by most standards/societies standards would be - wealthy or a high earner (physician, attorney, etc) - ambitious - healthy - morally sound / not a psychopath

Traits that I personally find to be high value, and think people should look for in their partners are: - strong work ethic/ambitious - high moral standards and similar ethical practices to you - good listening (someone who makes you feel heard and understood) - a protector (someone who makes you feel safe)

For me - access to the ability to make whatever financial situation we need to survive, work. Jobs can change, careers can change, having the resources to survive change and hardship are important to me rather than just a high income.

Tall dark and handsome didn't hurt, lol athletic and physically fit and encourages me to keep up with him.

I like things that other people often might not both sexually, and romantically. I don't like flowers, but I like that he will cook for me since my cooking is awful.

Intelligent, resourceful, dominant in bed and outside of the bedroom, but only with me. I need someone who doesn't need to control the entire world, because he focus's all that energy onto me.

I like that he's respectful to the outside world. I like that he can make friends pretty easily where-ever he goes, and he covers for me socially.

I basically wanted someone who was my complete opposite and valued that we balance each other out.

Yes, has male friends (I wouldn't find him as high value if all his friends were female or if he had none)
Cares about his mom even if he doesn't admit it, lol
Discusses tough topics with me
Drops what he's doing to help me. (I still never expect this, but he still does it.)
Generally supports my values, even if it isn't his thing
Supports me doing my own thing
Sees eye to eye with me on most issues, and when he doesn't, it's usually a small thing. We discuss as needed.
Supports my growth and well-being
Maintains his sexy appearance (I wish this were higher on the list, but whatever; he does it for me, lol, because he knows I like him active and how I like his hair/beard.)
Bikes / is generally active
Shares responsibility for our cats (and plans to for our future children)
Flirts with me / is charming 😍
He's even higher value to me when he updates me with success stories from his work that paint him as the hero.
He can make a decision for me or the group when I/we are indecisive. (Can lead)

He's very alpha (which I like). He very much commands the room whatever the situation.
He is intelligent and has broad interests.
He is stoic.
He is charming.
He is very disciplined.
He is meticulous.
He is wealthy and knows how to grow money.
He has a beautiful home in a sought after community.
He is attractive (if you like blue eyes with strong shoulders and chest .. ooo la la - but he's mine, sorry).
He exercises and keeps fit.
He is a wonderful father.
He is well respected and a figure in the community.
He is prepared for emergencies big and small.
He knows how to hunt and has all the necessary tools.
He plays me like a fiddle in bed.

I bragged on him earlier this week when someone asked what our men did for us. So look to post history for that!

Well, I think he’s high value in a broader sense because:

he earns lots of money;
he is attractive and charming;
he wants a family;
he is financially responsible, has a high work ethic and is very ambitious;
he supports and encourages my desire to be a SAHM; and
he is good at sex and will eat me out.

Additionally, he is high value to me specifically because:

he is emotionally mature and responsible with his feelings and emotions;
he is unafraid to cry/express “weakness” or discuss emotionally deep topics with me OR his male friends;
on that note, he has high quality male friends who are respectful and kind to me and also treat me as a friend when I’m around (including me in conversation, etc);
he also has high quality female friends (two of which were in my bridal party);
he has kind and supportive family;
he will let me bring home and raise random animals;
he supports and is proud of my vegetarianism;
he doesn’t yell at me/have random outbursts of violent behaviour (breaking stuff, throwing stuff, slamming doors, etcetera);and
most importantly, he generally likes the same stuff as me and is funny, kind, supportive, etcetera.

Ambitious, good work ethic, intelligent, more “worldly” than me”, helps me and gives advice, open to accepting advice and guidance from me, acknowledges that women and men are different and doesn’t try fight it, owns his issues and works on his previous trauma from growing up in a dysfunctional family so it doesn’t affect us. xo

You should also consider how high quality women are those who married high quality men. Often I see low quality women striving for men that are outside their radar.

The qualities my man has that make him traditionally high value are: - his height - high earning career - very high intelligence - very loyal

I think a lot of woman may not recognize him as high value unless they know him because he’s not super fit, he doesn’t necessarily seem “high value” at a glance, but anyone who knows him knows how high value he really is. I mention that only because so many women judge men based on a glance when there can be so much more to the story when you get to know them.
