I mean just stating a claim isn't debating either. There needs to be evidence that isn't anecdotal. If the claim is x% of women/men believe/do x thing, with evidence, then that's solid. If the claim is "women are all fucking 5000 chads all at once while her boyfriends watch," then you're gonna get replies like that.

That being said, a good debate requires two people that are open minded, and open to having their views changed. Otherwise you might as well argue with a potato.

The problem is that a lot of RP is taking beliefs that are somewhat common among certain people in real life... and turning them up to a thousand.

For example --

Yes, most guys don't want to date strippers or girls who have done sex work. But also, most guys are ok with a reasonably promiscuous girl as long as it's not due to mental illness.

Yes, men are more practical in many tangible life ways -- fixing things, pragmatism in career choice. But also, "smartest teenager in the room" is a refrain said by men who've never met truly capable and confident women. Additionally, women are superior in some different ways like emotional intelligence that are just less immediately obvious in modern society.

I can do this for every major RP idea/point.

I mean the debate is possible, it just rarely ever goes anywhere, we just get a lot of recycled versions of the same subjects and everybody's pretty dug into their beliefs, debate does not mean that somebody's mind is going to be changed, at best to get somebody to think about something from a different perspective but that's why I use this sub primarily for entertainment there's not much actual value on here lol

The issue is that people here aren’t actually open to discussion. They’re only here to rant about their own opinion that they’re not willing to change.

With most topics it’s hard to find hard evidence that’s completely flawless. If you have an opinion, you’ll always find some sort of “proof” to support it. If you wanna say “hey women are evil” you’re gonna show FDS as proof for example. If you wanna say “hey men are evil” then you’re gonna use r/whereareallthegoodmen or that incel.is website or whatever the hell else. And the other side will always say “well that’s not how the women /men I met are”.

Same with studies. There’s no “perfect” studies and if people already have a set opinion then they’re gonna say your study is invalid. If I say “hey , statistically this percentage of women gets raped” but if people disagree they will always say “but women lie and many of those are probably false accusations”. And there’s no real way to say those aren’t, I can’t prove that every single one of those women was actually raped. I can say “but most women I know have been raped” and they’ll say “but some of my buddies have been falsely accused”.

Well, also when a woman in here like me tries to explain how herself and her woman friends behave in terms of dating, sex, love and relationships, her opinion is very often discarded as irrelevant.

Also, the women on here are not representative of women in the genera population. Only 32% of Reddit users are female. And of the 99K followers of this sub, only about one hundred comment. And the majority of the comments are made by about twenty of those. So when one of them is telling you about how women view men, she’s probably some bitter cat lady in a furry costume

Most of the time when I make a statement on my experience or opinion RP men will just say “that’s BS” or call me a liar because it doesn’t fit with their worldview.
