I do love the smell of a guy's clean skin. I don't know if I'd say certain guys had a special smell, but I have run across ones that tend to get BO very easily.

That said I'd be remiss if I didn't point out a good cologne, used sparingly, totally bumps you up a notch for a lot of women.

If he smells good and we’re just getting to know each other it’s a positive mark in his favour, but I can’t say it will attract me right then and there or that I’m sexually attracted to his actual smell. If I’m already into him and he smells good it will drive me craaaaaazy. I can only really think of two or three guys ever where I’ve noticed scent as a factor with them though.

ETA: this is only talking about added scent, such as cologne or body wash or whatever. His actual skin smell I can’t say I’ve ever noticed so long as it’s not, you know, bad or unclean.

i wouldn’t say i screen men like that (maybe subconsciously?) but a man’s scent can definitely turn me on. especially when they’re a little sweaty.

It's not sexual. Men smell nice the same way as a candle. It's just a nice smell, comforting maybe but it's not like it'll make me horny.

I am usually very attracted to the smell of my sexual partners. The post-sex sweat smell is very nice to me. But I don't get arousal by walking past any guy that has a certain smell. I will enjoy a good parfum and if a guy is very clean and takes care of his hygiene I will be more positive towards him than if he smells like a 5 day not showered Gym changing room. The "I love your natural scent" part comes after bonding for me.

A man’s smell isn’t what attracts me initially, but in a relationship it 100% becomes recognisable and something I associate with both sex and security/protection. It’s why a lot of women like to wear their boyfriends clothes rather then their own - the smell is so comforting

1 out of 100, it only ever happens with college guys. Guess I'm smelling that peak male fertility. When I used to party at college, the smell outside of the baseball house would get me horny, just by walking by. A mix of pheromones, pizza and beer.

There's an enormous difference between how men smell, my male relatives make me gag, my ex was intoxicating, and he said the same about me. I wouldn't go as far as that being enough to turn me on though, it just smells right or wrong if I can put it that way. You also have to be really close to smell someone like that, much closer than speaking distance.

I'm not sure about scents, but I can tell you something that perhaps relates to this topic.

Guys (often incel types) always say things like 'Be attractive, don't be unattractive', even insinuating that muscles trump everything.

Nope, it's not muscles. Nope, it's not even height, nope it's not your race either. The answer may surprise a lot of guys out there, but girls place a huge emphasis on a guy's personal hygiene.

A clean scent is the best, most arousing scent out there to be had in a man. Perhaps there is a male pheromone for a girl to catch on, but all will be swamped by stench of bad hygeine, so get yourself clean first and foremost. The cleanliness standards of the military is a good metric to base on.

I can relate to it a bit. It doesn't work exactly like this for me though. First, I have to develop emotional connection with a person and then I either find their smell sexually attractive or not. I can't develop attraction just by smelling someone.

And it's exceptionally rare. As I need emotional connection, almost all people are non-sexual beings for me. Thankfully, even when I get close with someone, it doesn't necessarily mean I'll fall for them. I think I've felt strong sexual attraction...maybe 3 times in my life including my husband. 2 men, 1 woman.
