Hello, fellow pill heads. One topic of discussion that I rarely see addressed here is mental health and the influences it has on dating. Attachment styles, neurosis and other disorders, depression and anxiety, and all of that fun jazz. What I'd like to hear more about is how mental health impacts your experiences in dating on an individual level.

Does somebody having a specific disorder or mental health red flag serve as a dealbreaker for you? Are you currently struggling with your own issues that makes dating more of a challenge? Does somebody having issues that are being addressed through therapy lessen the weight it would have in deciding their potential as a partner? Did you find that overcoming your issues made you more sympathetic and willing to date those with their own problems, or did you become more judicial when you spot maladaptive signs in others? Do you find the siding tides of dating leave you more prone to mental burnout? It's not really all that surprising that after the near two year isolation we experienced from the pandemic has either worsened many of our states or brought to light new issues. What I'd like to know is where does everyone here draw the line in these situations.

Since this isn't a discussion I see happening in the community all that often, I don't want to confine the discussion to specific scenarios, so don't be afraid to share your own personal experiences regarding this topic.
