My one friend is so vocal about never wanting to listen to any music by a male artist. Now we generally have similar taste in music which tends to be majority pop, but I also lean into country artists like Thomas Rhett too. But if we are in the car or at someone’s house hanging out, they will go out of their way to mention how much they hate (insert male artist here). And I even called out the misandry here, to which they respond saying “misandry doesn’t exist really. It’s just made up by butthurt men.”

Like does anyone else have this problem with any of their friends? The worst part of the whole thing is that my friend is a MALE, grant it not your typical masculine guy, but a male nevertheless. Like is this self hatred of being a man becoming so normalized?

Edit: My friend is a MALE! A lot of people are missing this, so I just wanted to clarify because it makes everything worse
