I hear a lot of people say “you shouldn’t worry about what you can’t change” I get that it’s practical if you can’t change it obsessing over it won’t get you anywhere but people extend this further by trying to downplay the importance of unalterable traits.
What you can’t change is so important because you can’t change it, that is your genetics and what you pass down to your offspring that will ultimately dictate their survival it’s only natural that it be placed at such a high priority.
Even intelligence is highly heritable and quite static.
Human babies are able to differentiate attractive faces, let that sink in Mother Nature has found it a necessity for your brain the dictator of your survival and self to be able to tell apart attractive faces from birth due to its adaptive advantage.
Now the thing is humans aren’t genetic testing machines we can’t take a cheek swap of the opposite sex to gauge their genetic quality, we can however use physical characteristics as a proxy for genetic markers and health. There’s a tonne of data on this but I’ll list a few.
Even men blind since birth prefer low waist:hip ratios
men prefer wider hips across cultures and time periods although it seems to be exaggerated today the ideal seems to be around 0.7
This 0.7 number is backed up by this study which shows around this ratio females are most healthy https://www.livescience.com/7023-rules-attraction-game-love.html
waist-to-hip ratio is generally correlated with various measures of health
Women with larger breasts and lower WHR have higher levels of progesterone and estradiol both crucial in fertility
Women with a high BMI more likely to miscarry healthy foetuses
High BMI women are less fertile
Physical strength is a universally attractive trait for men
Taller men have more sexual success and father more children
Women respond to broad shoulders far more powerfully than men respond to breasts
The list goes on. Some of these are changeable to a degree but other traits pertaining to bone structure and proportions not nearly as much so without surgery.
A lot of blue/redpillers lose a large chunk of reality when they decide to downplay this uncomfortable truth, bluepillers will often deny it straight up and redpillers often prioritise self improvement as a mantra to overcome genetic determinism as silly as that sounds.
A lot of this thought stems from the “just world fallacy” that good thinks happen to people because they earned it/deserve it.
This is controversial due to our current opinion on “fairness”. It makes sense that you wouldn’t discriminate for looks say in the workplace (although it does happen) or reject someone’s PhD thesis because of their height, it’s silly because these traits are not relevant in the context of labour however, they are wholly relevant in the context of reproduction.
Our extreme stance on fairness is quite recent in human history and it is just that, a human value, it is not a guiding law of the universe or a rule of Mother Nature, people need to stop moralising dating dynamics with what they believe ought to be fair and instead for what it is.
Ultimately I believe we should move to a society which decides to maximise there traits whether through medical intervention, selective IVF or gene editing. Doing so would remove a lot of hardship in the world and if anything make it more fair.
