What is the patriarchy? How will we know when the patriarchy has been dismantled? Can any of those signs used to distinguish the dismantled patriarchy be symptomatic of something else entirely?

What is toxic? What is masculinity? What, then, is toxic masculinity? Is it reasonable for there to be toxic feminity? What might toxic feminity look like? Are there any forms of toxic feminity presenting itself in society? How can we differentiate between a toxic gender and individual people behaving poorly?

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Does a cart go in front of the horse or behind it?

I either ignore them, or explain why these are ridiculous concepts. Often, when it comes to people who are purposely pushing agenda driven language, explaining is simply a waste of time.

Turn your back on them and avoid them. They are lost and won't change through your influence. They must have the error of their ways proven to them by other women and/or the disastrous policies they espouse.

Young minds like simple explanations. The patriarchy is over simplified and as a concept, is carefully curated for easy adoption by young people. Why do you think they hit it so hard in schools and back it up by holding college degrees hostage to its adoption?

Toxic masculinity is a term best known for inciting offense, disrupting conversations about men and boys, and framing masculinity in negative terms.

People who use this term, use it knowing full well that it will incited offense and derail any conversation about men and boys that actuallty includes some men and boys. That is their intention. They get their kicks from offending people and disrupting discussions they are not qualified to join.

The arguments used by feminists and SIMPS, that the term is valuable but misinterpreted are diengenuous segways, because the term has always been poorly defined, being contructed in a global syntax, while pretending to be particular in focus. The term is always used to associate negative inflections to male attributes, whatever they are.

Feminists, and men dressing up as feminists, who use this term are self-identifying their entrenched culture misandry, a toxic culture so deep and consuming, they really believe that causing offense and alienating men and boys in conversations about masculinity is constructive and necessary. These same imbeciles also usually believe that they are entitled to redefine masculinity within their feminist bubble (excluding men and boys from that excercise) and then imposing that feminist strawman on men and boys as "healthy masculinity".

Toxic masculinity, and the entrenched anti-male culture it emerged from, is just more toxic feminist dialogue, more feminists femsplaining masculinity to men..

Very few men use this term. Some are LGBT (no offense gay guys, but you know the type), some studied in a faculty where without using the term you won't get a degree. Some are radical left activists (like me) - the radical left was the first social environment outside feminism to be taken in Me Too by radical feminism and to survive there as a male you have to internalize this language (which is why in 2018 I became an outcast in my "social home"). In some art circles - poetry in particular - the same takeover happened (they came next after the radical left) and there as well if your entire life and work is entangled with the field you have to adopt the language to survive - feminists control it and they'll kick you out otherwise.

And then there are some boys raised by a feminist and mentally abused with her male-hate, and there's also the type that met a girl who is herself brainwashed and they internalized this to get closer to her (these guys are the white nights, they see this language as protecting a specific girl whom they are dating, she manipulated them into thinking that accepting these concepts is loving her).

I like to tell them "its nice to hear that you have had an easy and privileged life, I have not been as fortunate and do not like being told I have privileges' I do not have". Then they usually say "woah I don't have it easy, blah blah blah" Which I respond with: "if you are fine agreeing with feminists that men are privileged and have it easier then clearly you are privileged".

Chip away at the edges. Ask them if they agree with kill all men. If they think that a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. If they agree with believe all women. If they think that there should be due process for men in campus Title IX proceedings. If they think men should be able to go into women's locker rooms. You can ask all kinds of questions like that.

I personally don't find issue with either term. There are things that certainly make the lives of men harder. Some of those things may be encapsulated by those two terms.

But it is not the full story.

I can say that "the patriarchy" caused me to think I needed to laugh at someone for displaying non-male features or something. However, as a man I eventually realized that those features were admirable in ways. Because "the patriarchy" allowed me to work through my feelings (maybe not in a way a feminist would like..) and get to that point.

At the same time there are men who are at some point in there lives where that's not true at all. Because everyone is different!

Toxic femininity would be the same, except the genders reversed. “Societal pressure on women to conform to toxic standards for femininity”. Like the expectation to be overly agreeable and non-confrontational, and never direct about it if you dislike someone or something.

If you are for men's rights you are against toxic masculinity. And no, "toxic masculinity" does not mean "masculinity is toxic"
