Without the distinction between cis and trans people, the concepts gay, lesbian and straight seem easy to understand.

Gay: Homosexual - men's edition
Lesbian: Homosexual - woman's edition

The perspective of who says that is clear. Men loving men. Women loving women.

Straight is already more complicated.

Straight: Heterosexual - men's edition
Straight: Heterosexual - women's edition

depending on who says they are straight, it can be men loving women or women loving men.

Now if we take into account that trans men are men and trans women are women, where does this leave us?

Can a trans man be a lesbian? Let's see:

If he's a trans man loving men, he would fall under the category men loving men, so is gay.
If he's a trans man loving women, he would fall under the category men loving women, so is straight.

I don't see a constellation where a trans man (or a cis man) can be called a lesbian.

Cis men are men. Trans men are men. Men are men.

I don't know how you would go to prison for this?

This is a great example of the problem with hate speech code. Beside the problem of criminalizing an emotion (hate), such codes are frequently used to censor free direct that doesn’t fit woke identity politics. This story of a lesbian facing charges is as kid indicative of the new pecking order inherent in modern identity politics. Transgenderism trumps lesbianism.

The post on Gjevjon’s Facebook page under investigation read "It’s just as impossible for men to become a lesbian as it is for men to become pregnant. Men are men regardless of their sexual fetishes."

^From MSN. I don't really care what her opinions are, but I think it's patently ridiculous and dangerous that she can't say this on her personal page.

And also, cultural perception of gender and sex is changing so fast. Can male lesbians be a thing? I don't even know anymore.

I used to tell people I was a male lesbian if they asked what I was and it got a laugh. I stopped when people started taking me seriously. Until just now, I didn't know that was actually a thing.
