Her parents should refuse to look after the kids if it means you don't get to see them. They are enabling her atrousious behavior especially as you are available to be with you re kids on Christmas. Just document as mentioned and declare war with your lawyer ... Sucks man.

I'm so glad my parents never celebrated anything....hence Xmas and holidays and birthdays have ZERO meaning for me....I don't' get to see my kids on most holidays (she withholds them) but it doesn't impact me whatsoever lol.....I'll just see them after Xmas

I am in the same boat, my stbxw filed a motion to limit visitation, and unilaterally decided to enforce it. My lawyer filed contempt charges on her this week and she has caved to allow me four hours Christmas Day, but requiring her parents be here. It is extremely unfortunate and heart breaking. Through the divorce I have gotten a lot of therapy, and joined AA, and I am grateful for what I have learned through both. The important thing to remember is that this too shall pass, and for me there is not a single thing that a drink won’t make worse.

Some day our children will come to see what is being done, and they will have their own honest opinions on it. The only thing we can do is whatever work is necessary to survive this, and get to a healthy place. We have to be there for our kids, and in a healthy place to weather these storms.

You are not alone, and unfortunately you are not unique.

Get as far away from the court as possible. Use them if you absolutely need to, but this little situation is a money pit and will surely cripple you over time. They don’t give a fuck about you or your kids.

Talk to your ex wife (if possible) and try to come to some sort of mutual agreement. I promise you I’ve been where you are and it is not fun.

Female here and haven’t had my son for Christmas in 3 years despite being with my wife and son for 2 of them. She’s withholding him this year bc why not she’s had him every other Christmas and why not just twist the knife harder this year. Yay!
