I was responding to a comment on another thread, abd thought my comment might possibly warrant it's own post.

The real issue with women typically thinking emotionally vs logically is it can often leave men feeling lost, and unable to satisfy her needs.

E.g.

I had some marital issues a good few years back and we did marriage counseling for a few months.

One thing that strongly stands out was a session where we were discussing feeling unheard, the therapist asked what would I need to hear to make me feel heard and I was able to say ABCD, vs my wife was and still is unable to give any answer to that question to this day.

Even now a lot of the times when she has an issue or a complaint I struggle to make her feel heard. I can even ask her (after lots of frustration) "What do I need to say or do, to make you feel heard", and she'll think about it and respond "I don't know, I don't think anything will make me feel heard right now". What the the fuck are men supposed to do with this?

Edit: I should add that this isn't a common issue anymore, bit when it does happen my wife admits it's irrational, and she does wish she could squash the emotions and move on. The issue I'm talking about here is the irrationality of her not knowing what needs to be done to resolve the emotions.

Edit 2: Another example to explain this is imagine someone wakes up on the wrong sure of the bed, and they're in a bad mood. BUT they're unable to explain why they're in a bad mood.

Or 99 positive things have happened over the course of a day, but then 1 single negative thing causes them to be on a bad mood for the rest of the day, and they can't do anything to get over it. It's like they want to stay in a bad mood.
