I never realized how conditioned I am to immediately think this is weird. I understand that it isn't, especially now being a father myself. It just clicked though, that I think this conditioning is a result of not having a father myself. Considering how many people have father abandonment issues, it could likely relate to why our society will make some horrible stereotypes when seeing good fathers.
