I saw this video last night. I wanted to find the link again so I could comment on it, but I gave up. Here goes...

The woman in the beginning did seem a little unclear with her definition of "objectifying". This is where any substantive negatives to the woman are shown. The rest of the video is tripe and vitriol spewing from the self-labeled "Professor Plum". A name he gave himself to hide behind while he spews this hate while claiming that being bold and assertive is what men need.

As we get a little bit into the video, Professor Plum makes a few baseless claims about female and male sexuality. Positions that may be reasonable to believe in, but in his case are exaggerated. I believe he said that 99% of porn consumption is done by men, and that proves that men have entirely different sex drives than women. Not only is that a huge leap in logic, but the premise is unfounded. The number of American women viewing internet porn is about 17% (shitty source but that was the best I could find. Nothing said close to 99% male usage). He asserts more than just this, but this is where it all goes to shit.

The woman asks, rightfully so, for a source. At this point Professor Plum snaps and doesn't make a single logical point, nor does he stop defaming the woman for the rest of the interview (interrogation?).

He keeps on saying "I'm the fucking source!" When asked what makes him a valid source he spews some garbage about going around and talking to a lot of men and women, as if this isn't something anyone could do. She asks for peer reviews of his views, and he completely dismisses this as he is "the fucking source".

I forget how it comes up, but she gets upset that he was implying she was stupid, to which he replies "I'm not implying it, I'm saying it outright!" All the while talking over her and cutting her off. Eventually this leads to him saying that all women are stupid, which he is able to say because he has talked to a lot of women and men and determined it.

The woman is naturally offended at this point. She is not calm at this point, though she remains calm longer than Professor Plum, however he claims that getting upset or offended in an argument makes her "a child". Throughout most of the rest of the interview, he just yells at her that she's too stupid to understand this, or too stupid to do that. This goes on for about 45 minutes.

At one point he calls her out for making a claim without a source, laughable as his only source so far was his own experience.

Near the end she says this interview is over unless... she doesn't get to finish because she is still getting cut off constantly (yet Professor Plum at some point has the nerve to call her out for interrupting). I believe she does give an ultimatum, but I don't recall...

About 5 minutes later she said that this interview is over. He calls her stupid again because she can't hold to what she said about ending the interview "hours ago" and said "seven times". She replies that she wasn't able to give her closing remarks. He laughs at this. After a little more berating, she leaves and he says that she "rage quit".

After the first portion of the interview, which was somewhat reasonable, he does nothing but appeal to authority (his own, at that), and attacks her integrity (ad hominem). It's pure vitriol and misogyny at its finest. The worst part is the type of domineering he does in this interview is precisely what feminism would point to as patriarchal, this he is boosting feminism and hurting MRM.

I went on to browse some of the literature from the Manhood Academy. It is mostly traditional gender roles loosely tied to pseudoscience, with blatant misogyny thrown in there seamlessly to make it appear as if it all belongs together.

I can not say enough bad about this video and the people behind it, but I hope I've made a dent with this post.

I agree with b) and c), so long as b) is specific to the internet, and we're discounting Paul Elam's ravings and the Manhood Academy BS.

As for anti-*isms, I personally think that it's a silly position to take. Fight instead against negative actions brought about by the ideology, but fighting an ideology itself usually just makes it's adherents more fanatical, and adds the strength of martyrdom to it.

Keep in mind, Warren Farrel was a Feminist once, and that really the movement is so fractured and ill-defined that it really has almost no meaning at all, so when you say you're "Anti-Feminist" you come out equally strongly against people who don't believe misandry could exist, and those who simply want women to be treated as people. It's much easier to say "I oppose the current form of VAWA because it uses gendered language to exclude abuse against men, and this feminist group that supports that.".

But I'm probably quibbling on the internet here.
