Me, for right now. I am too busy with remodeling my home, too busy with work and I have a handful of friends who are available to do things with. And recent experiences with super clingy men have soured me on dating for the time being.

It's not worth the pain and sacrifice. I regret every relationship I've had and am making up for lost time now. My female friends who are divorced echo this sentiment, especially the older ones.

I don't want a relationship and expect to live out my life single.

I can't see myself being a very good partner. I have depression, struggle with money and am not very fun. I don't want to inflict any of this on anyone.

I don’t really care either way and I’m not actively looking for one. I’m very content with being by myself, hanging with friends, etc. sometimes I miss sex but that’s about it really.

If I were to break up with my current partner I'd probably just not bother with a new relationship. I'm old enough now that my options are mostly guys looking for a stepmother for their kids. 😆

I was here from like ages 14 until 18 and then 20 to like 23. When I was younger it was because I had so much to do and men seemed to be unworthy of fussing over, quite annoying and difficult to deal with on top of it all. Plus, I'd seen my mother's unhappy marriage and knew I didn't want that for myself. And you know how you never end up unhappily married. You do not consort with men.

Then I dated a few, was assaulted by one, and found out that I was even wiser to think that than I could have known. And I still had an awful lot of things I wished to do and see without the pesky baggage of a ball and chain man complaining, criticizing, and being a stick in the mud or a lying bullshit artist.

Thus a few more years went by with me happily uninterested in men before another one broke through that. And then things went sideways with him. And I began to think perhaps I wasn't meant to find anyone. And that this would be ok if I could just know there wasn't any love of my life for me. Because I still had plenty to do and would be just fine sans a man.

And I was four years into thinking like that when I did meet the love of my life. But, needless to say, if he didn't work out, I really do think I'd be altogether done with the lot of you and go back to never wanting another man.

If this one doesn't work out, I'd like to be single for a very long time. I love my partner but if it doesn't work out I am never living with another human being again unless they really make me want that.

But I am hoping this one works out.

That, or I'd date women strictly from that time forward.

It's a pretty old question. All women want a committed relationship. Even if they say they're preoccupied with other things... they would still jump at it if it presented itself in front of them.

Socially calibrated yet also interesting guys are relatively difficult to come by: hence why a) so many guys are single and b) so many marriages... end in divorce.

What generally happens is that guys shag up with women, then the guy lets his guard down, relaxes a little bit too MUCH... and then ultimately he becomes... boring. That's really the biggest thing to lead to the downfall of a marriage, NOT this hypergamy, "women can GET SEX WHENEVER THE F*** THEY WANT!!!" horseSH!T... seriously. No shit, they CAN, but WHO WITH? An Xbox gaming addict who hasn't left his mom's basement in a month except to perhaps replace his used up VAPE? Or maybe a roided up gymrat...with NO concept of consent and what the word "No/stop" mean? It may be raining MEN out there... but it sure as HELL is not raining Chads. Or Leo Dicaprios or Pitts OR Tatums OR Cavills...

I think you need to narrow down "relationship". A friend with benefits is a relationship. Poly people are in relationships. What kind of relationship do you define as a relationship? Marriage?

I have never wanted one and never sought one out, but occasionally I agree to them (only in circumstances where nothing changed except the label they called me by and/or agreement to be exclusive, and some other contexts I won't get into).

Why?

I never felt desire to and don't think it's ethical to fake something like that to be in a relationship. The only times I have agreed to one are when we were very straight forward about our expectations, what it meant, and it was easy-going and didn't change anything about how we interacted with each other except perhaps a label, agreement to exclusivity, as aforementioned.
