I discuses things because it means I get a better understanding of a problem. If I allow my thoughts to go unchallenged I tend to be wrong a lot more often.

For me after years of reading manosphere content it’s kind of cathartic to come here and actually be able to respond to those ideas instead of it being a one-way street.

Honestly I'm here 90% for entertainment, 10% for advice (like insight on women's attraction for example). Some posts and comments are pretty wild takes, and also entertaining.

This is also the main sub that embraces the uncomfortable truths in dating as opposed to more bluepilled subs like r/dating or r/datingadvice.

Meanwhile it is also less extreme than subs like r/theredpill, which I browse ocassionally for tips on how to get women or be a better man, but admit that sometimes they do take it too far...Personally I tend to have a take what's useful (like gym, social game, advice on how below average men should navigate dating) and discard what you think is unnecessary or extreme (like dread game) with r/theredpill.

Sure I'd like if there was a space in mainstream society where men could get the support they need in life or dating, with real talk not bluepilled feminism infused advice which doesn't work. However this doesn't exist hence the existence of the manosphere and these subs.

One aspect I am slightly ashamed of is that this sub emotionally validates my real life experiences. For example it doesn't tell me my personality is the issue (like real life society does), but embraces real truths like women wanting attractive men. I'm ashamed of it as us men shouldn't need emotional validation 😌

I've always seen it as a huge disconnect between offline real world scenarios and online discussion points.

Offline is where the interactions are physical and real. Online however, is a case of everyone feeling emboldened to say what they want without repercussions. Not just in PPD, but all other communities. People get online, hiding their identities and post vile things like for example Neo Nazi's and their vitriol.

Take that same Neo Nazi and place him in a physical real world environment like a workplace. Would he even utter a single word of what he believes compared to his online alter ego? You'll probably agree that he would be wise enough to keep his views to himself in the real world for fear of being outcast or any psychical altercations.

And so the same goes for someone who is misogynistic online vs acting all nice and unassuming offline.

I call all these people absolute cowards.

They won’t get worse, the people that struggle to date now will eventually get their head out the sand/their arses and grow up, they’ll finally see it’s not a man vs women thing, it’s an individual thing, people are complicated.

Either they’ll meet someone that changes their views or they die alone

First of all people do things because they want to. If you start asking what the point is you'll find that we do so many pointless things just because we want to.

But things do change. The people you dissagree with might change your mind or you change their mind...

Things wil probably get worse in the future.

For a lot of people purple pill content isn’t obvious or known and hence becomes extremely valuable.

For example there’s a common saying that “love ignores one’s past” yet PPD teaches the exact opposite and shows many various studies to prove that. You get the real deal here when it comes to dating and relationship advice and theories not some genetic platitudes.

Aside from the practicality, people have an innate interest in studying these things why is why you see a ton of people already in relationships on this sub. It’s the same reason that academia exists and is competitive to get into - people want to study topics in detail and research on them and given that love relationships are one of the most fundamental pieces of the human existence, it’s not surprising you see a lot of people wanting to focus on that.

The problem is that people are hyper focused on the problems, blaming people, lacking empathy, and of course neglecting to discuss the solutions. If you look at other problems such as climate change we often hear about the problems, the blame, but also the solution. In my high school at least we tried to understand and empathize with climate change deniers instead of demonizing them. We wrote them letters and understood their concerns about loosing jobs. So instead of just getting them to believe in climate change we wanted to address their concerns and provide solution. I think something similar could be used when talking about dating. But sex positive feminists and redpillers are too concerned about their selfish desire and hyper fixation of sex to understand the real problem with dating and discussing potential solution. The real problem isn't lack of sex or men not wanting to date women with high body count but rather the atomization, alienation, and isolation we humans face right now.
