So in the RP, there's the concept of being an emotional tampon. It's a type of friendzone where a girl uses her friends for emotional support, and once she's done. She throws them aside, I personally didn't experience it, as often I would say I just want to nap, play video games, or enjoy my anime, as I was already after an 8+ hours shift. So I basically told her and other that tried to vent say "Listen dude, I don't know what you want me to do as I have no idea." Later on I realized, that venting is a form of therapy. All I need to is just give a shoulder to cry on to those I noticed are in distress. And so you have to do that in order to relief someone from the stress. especially a partner.

On the other hand there's the slogan of "women aren't your therapists". Which is basically the overbearing sharing of a man to his partner. It's basically trauma dumping on your partner your issues. Tho I do agree that you should put boundaries. You have the need as any other to be supported by a group of people. Just being there to be present is enough. You drink wine while gazing to the horizon, and he weeps about his boss, or the fear of finances.

The need to weep, together is even engrained in our rituals of mourning a loved one. The RP and gynosphere basically forgot the need to mourn and show empathy. Heck just a confused "That's rough buddy." Prince Zuko style is enough. RP made men see women as household objects or sex objects at worse, while Gynospheres got women to see men as status objects or mindless ATM's at worst.
