Women that want money are not going for men that make average to slightly above average salaries, in modern times it’s easier to get that kind of salary yourself than have a relationship/sex with someone you don’t want to. They’re going for top level tech guys, ceos etc.

Let's examine this a little closer.

Frequent cheap sex: And yet, men constantly complain about starfish sex, passionless sex, not being wanted as attractive, not feeling respected, not getting the positions or acts they want. Poorer women aren't sex workers, they aren't just going to do things the way you like because lifestyle upgrade. Surprisingly, poorer women don't see themselves as lesser to richer men even and especially if they're using him for money. I would be dubious as hell about the quality and frequency of this sex. And of course, he can dump her, but men get reputations too, and the number of young women that want this kind of relationship is vanishingly small and certainly not as easily controlled as you think.
Years of Companionship: Why would she help you in the house? She's here for a lifestyle upgrade. The kind of woman who sells out for this wants the whole deal, not being your bangmaid. Why would she care for your pets other than to the degree she likes them? Again, most of the long-nailed young women who want this would never be your iguana keeper. You've made this woman up. What makes you think she's going to care for you during surgery when you're no longer fun? That's when most people dip and these women are still people with expectations. Just because the primary expectation is money doesn't mean they aren't expecting other stuff. And again, quality of care. You aren't the love of their life. You're an uppity ATM. You don't take good care of the uppity ATM the way you would someone you actually have respect, attraction, and affection for. Has anyone even met a younger woman like this who is both a nurturing care-taker of feeble older men and also a gold-digger?
Status and Respect: Don't kid yourself. No one respects or gives status to men who are buying attractive younger women. You're confusing jealousy or envy with respect and status. They're very different. There's nothing dignified about a guy like this because everyone knows why she's with him, and isn't because he's attractive or she really likes him. It's like paying prostitutes just, as you note, with more steps and cheaper.
Upper hand: The number of poor, good looking mcdonalds workers who would want this relationship has to be under 5%. This is a vanishing market especially with the invention of Onlyfans. And, your upper hand assumes you don't catch feelings or she isn't good at manipulating you which, you know, women who are gold diggers are traditionally pretty good at making men do. Your upper hand is in your head and soon to be in your pants because you have way less control than you're imagining over these kinds of women.

Someone else mentioned things she lost as well, which is why so few women would engage in this.

All in all, very telling as to the mindset of men like this. I hope you get the black widow you deserve <3 I'm sure she'll just give you fun perfect companionship...she won't eat your head and take your gum drop buttons.

You may have a point, but there are many downsides:

- for women - they lose the best years of their lives, shit sex life, living with a partner you are not attracted to (this is disgusting, no matter how big your mansion is), feeling like shit, depression

- for men - it's a positive, as long as you are a psycho and don't really care that the woman who lives in your house and has sex with you is viscerally disgusted by you; you may actually fall in love with this woman, which is very painful, especially if she is disgusted by you; constantly paying for everything gets very, very, very emotionally draining, even if you are wealthy;

I've known a surprising number of women that have done this but the thing is, it has to be for a lot of money. I've known women who have taken trips through the middle east and south america with their wealthy boyfriends (who were boyfriends mainly because of their wealth), and as one woman said to me "it's easy to feel like you're in love when they are throwing hundred dollar bills at you".

Let's imagine the relationship lasts 4 years, and then she gets a better man or a higher salary herself. Of course, it can be sad for the man, but there is not shortage of economically disadvantaged younger women to date for men who earn more, and on average men choose careers that pay more.

just hard to imagine the above scenario happening in real life. i hang out with working professionals - engineers, bankers, healthcare workers - and i'm in law school so surrounded by people who don't have money yet, but have high expectations in life. and none of them would get into a 4 year relationship with an 'economically disadvantaged younger women' for so-called 'status'. doesn't matter how hot she is, dating the 22 year old office receptionist with no ambition except getting her nails done does not give one status when everyone else is dating attorneys and doctors. or are we talking about low-class men here who just happen to make more than the hot chick working the drive-thru at mcdonalds. that bar isn't very hard to top, is it.
