Yesterday I was walking on a somewhat busy street in a city. There were plenty of cars and people walking around. I park my car and get out to walk to the bodega. Few cars down are two girls, in their 20s. As I approach to walk past them, you could literally see the fear in their eyes. Their body language migrated towards being defensive and they genuinely were backing up. They legitimately thought I would try something, in the middle of the street with tons of people near by and me not even looking at them. Now keep in mind, I’m a small guy. I was shorter than both the girls. If I did try something the both of them would’ve been easily able to win that fight.

But it just got me thinking. They really have women straight up fearing the general populous of men. They’ve convinced them the majority not the vast minority of men are actively looking to attack women. Now I’m not saying you shouldnt be cautious. By all means, better safe than sorry. But in a busy street, with a guy who’s smaller and outnumbered? Is that really where the fear has gotten to? I don’t really get it.

Sorry for the small rant.
