You fundamentally dont understand what a gold digger is and why men have a problem with them. Rich dudes dislike gold diggers as much as poor dudes do, because no one in the world likes to be used and lied to. A gold digger lies to you about her interest, she doesnt like you she just likes your money. Rich guys arent suddenly ok with this because theyre rich, theyre not a fan of being with someone who doesnt actually want to be with them in return.

Rich guys dont mind dating a girl with high expectations or spoiling a girl they love, but thats not the same as wanting a gold digger because they reasonably believe the girl actually loves them for them rather than for their wallet. Gold digger doesnt love you, she loves what you can buy her. A normal girl loves you for you, and thats precisely why you want to spoil her.

I recently saw a Shera7 video where she responded about male commenters on her videos and said something along the lines of "don't listen to them, they are not the target audience. They're salty because they don't have enough money to be gold dug on their call center salary. Our videos are not about you. This is, as I often see on this subreddit, a core failure to understand gold digging. You don't have to be rich; you just have to have more money than she does. A guy working full time at McDonalds could get gold dug by a homeless woman.

The problem is when the incentive is gone for men to welcome gold digging behaviour (the woman gets old in either mindset or looks), they end up getting dumped for younger women, since rich men can pretty much bag any woman that they want.

This is the group of women that then start the "Why are all men dating outside of their age range" debate. It is quite comical actually.

lmfao nope - rich men are okay with gold diggers cause they’re hot, easily compliant (ie. paid for) and they can afford them, simple as that - and poor/middle class men don’t have a problem with gold diggers cause they make them feel inadequate.

Imo, gold diggers are a perfect embodiment of toxic femininity - ie. hyper-dependence, “hot girl syndrome” on crack, entitled, spoiled and unhealthily materialistic - it also says a lot about you that what you value in life is material worth first and foremost that you’re willing to use somebody else for it (then again he’s also using you, but that doesn’t make anyone right here) - gold diggers and guys who enable them are both at fault imo

I am rich by any standard, top 1% income. I hate golddiggers and will often break off relationships if she gets too transactional or too fixated on me buying her shit. I try to be stealthy, the only evidence that I’m rich is my place is nice. Otherwise I wear plain but well-fitting clothes, no fancy watch, drive an average hatchback car, etc.

My parents divorced over money and I know how toxic relationships centered around resources can get. I’m also a decent person and am very dateable putting aside the money. So if a girl seems only interested in being taken to nice restaurants and flown around, I pass. If she’s really hot I try to get sex on the cheap, take her to a cheap drinks date then invite home, but usually the golddiggers get the message that there’s no more sushi and they bounce

Actually women don't respect only providers. If you're not sexually/emotionally satisfying your partner, golddiggers will only care about the money and cheat/dump, use etc. You still need game to keep so called gold diggers. The better your leadership and value, the more likely you'll convert her

I think you’re confusing gold diggers and trophy girls where rich men are concerned.

A gold digger is a woman looking to get hitched/pregnant and use that as leverage in any divorce settlement.

A trophy girl is just arm candy they can spoil till they get bored. They have all the power in this situation, so it’s no problem.

Regardless - men with that quantum of wealth are so rare as to not be worth considering. Certainly not by anyone posting on Reddit.

Disagree. If you’re poor/average, you don’t have much to lose. When you are in my tax bracket, a mistake with a gold digger can have a very real and significant impact on what I’ve worked to build.

You could argue that I am not “rich,” and I would agree with this. But I am also not financially average, either. No clue what the standard deviation is on income or wealth nowadays, but I suspect that I’m at least 2 standard deviations above average by those metrics.

Do you suggest that women only seek the top earning men, and the rest of the women remain single when the top earning men run out?
