Also, it is absolutely right he walked free. They were both underage and obviously not very bright. As I understand it, she wanted sex, regretted it, and needed someone to blame. Thank god they had evidence to set things straight. She deserves to spend some time in a correction institution to realize false rape allegations are not child play.

I think it's troubling that there is an exception for underage sex. So a 15 years old girl can have sex with a 15 years old but cannot have sex with say 18 years old.

That is because having sex with a 15 years old is even a worse outcome. 15 years old don't have money to raise children yet.

As a parent I worry that my daughter or son have sex before she is 18. The fact that her sex partner is also underage will not make me "relieved". If anything, even Eipstein is at least a billionaire that will pay child support. What can another underage boy do?

But what's the solution? Punish both underage children? So sending them to jail for doing something consensually for protecting them?

Regardless of her age she still committed a criminal offense; luring and enticing a minor and for sexual purposes. When it actually happened she committed statutory rape. Evidence presented proves this and the consequence should fit the crime regardless of the age of the perpetrator. His crime was knowingly accepting the advances of and having sex with an underage girl (saying 14 is still underage).

The whole age threshold of "Romeo and Juliet" clauses are confusing and distort the fact that having sex with minors, even if both of those engaged in the act are minors is ILLEGAL. So using these standards both have committed crimes that result in imprisonment and to be registered as sex offenders. She was extremely manipulative and her actions showed clear intent. so no doubt her charges should be more serious. A pregnancy resulted, there was bodily and psychological harm. Consensual underage sex has very real consequences

First off, that is a disgraceful article. Whoever wrote is not a professional journalist but rather someone wanting to "report" on a piece of news to paint a picture. In most countries, this is called scandalized and biased journalism. The bottom line is that this is the reality for some (not all) of these cases that are reported as rape.

Second, the girl's father is a true human being. Before being a father, he realized he is a human and served justice.

Third, we really need to be careful when using the term "rape". Society uses the term rape irresponsibly and improperly.
