I'm not much of a people person -- even though I understand a lot of PUA stuff, social interactions, and so on. I've gone through the material and applied it. I have no confidence issues, and I can apply the ideas/methods whenever I feel like it. The problem is, I don't feel like it because I don't see the value anymore. Originally, of course, I thought there was quite a bit, but I've been disappointed.

I've been to parties, weddings, classes, etc. you-name-it and talked to people, and it almost always leads to dissatisfaction. I can't figure it out. It's not that I think people suck -- in fact, my general view of people is positive. I'm nonjudgmental, friendly, and that's how I tend to see others. It's a major personal belief that I have to believe in people even if I don't/can't love them. I just don't feel... connection?

I don't think this is the answer, but it's my guess: I just can't see the value in talking to people anymore. After all this time being introverted, reading books, and thinking things through... I find that most conversation I've been missing out on is dick jokes? Talk about sports? A girl actually said to me, "Politics is just a thing." I mean, these people aren't terrible by any means, but holy fuck can I not relate. Should I work on my dick jokes and start watching sports? Is that worth it? Have I been wasting my time?

I want to move beyond the plane of talking at people, to talk to them, but sometimes I'm not sure if I can or it's possible.

Somebody might wonder why I put this in this subreddit. It's because I assume most of you had to make this decision. A lot of you had to decide whether pua-stuff was going to be worthwhile from the perspective of an introverted person. I just want someone to take a shot at explaining these two things to me, if possible: why do I feel dissatisfied and/or like this hasn't been worthwhile?
