I was planning on posting it to /r/AskReddit, but I felt that it belonged here more and would help benefit myself and this subreddit more.

It's really more about inner game than getting girls.

I'm 18, going to a good school, life is on a good track. I'm attractive, I dress well, I look and feel healthy, but I don't feel happy all the time.

All my close friends live far from me, and I don't really have anyone super close to talk to all the time. On campus right now, I have plenty of "friends." I have fun when I'm around them, but when I'm not it feels so hollow.

Life feels so empty. But it's not that I'm not capable of changing it. I have the confidence to talk to people, and I do it well too. I don't feel that I have much passion for anything except Electronic Dance music. Life feels so bland.

I feel like the problem is me trying to find happiness that stems from other people. I recently started talking to this girl and things were going super well, but things turned around suddenly. I'm super bummed out cause I really liked this girl and I believed that getting a girlfriend would relieve me at least some of this feeling and I know it's foolish to get caught up over one girl that I've met for a couple days but I cant get it out of my head. I've even deleted her number off my phone.

I know that I sound very repetitive but I just needed somewhere to pour out my feelings. My problems seem so small to what others are going through but I can't stop feeling this way. I just want to be able be happy by myself and not just be happy when I'm around people.
