I’ve been doing the “fuck it” approach for a while now too. I swear those are two of the best words you can say to yourself before any approach. It literally removes all the fear from an approach because you’re validating to yourself that you don’t care what the outcome is.

I’ve also been experimenting with this: seeing a hottie and saying to myself: “Damn...I’m gonna go get rejected.” When I came across that one, it seemed counterintuitive, like giving yourself the wrong mindset. But I’m finding that it actually flips confidence on, like a switch.

Because again, it’s basically validating that you don’t give a fuck what the outcome of the approach is. And when you don’t give a fuck, there’s nothing to stop confidence from coming out.

Plus I really like that one because it makes it so you can’t actually lose. If my intention is to get rejected, then if I get rejected, I win. And if I get the digits, it’s like a bonus. Either way I win.

Just keep in mind that when I say I’m gonna get rejected, it’s not like I walk over and say something rude or ridiculous, which would assure rejection. It’s just a mindset thing so I can walk over carefree and allow the confidence to flow, since I don’t care about the outcome.

If you guys try that one, I’d be curious to hear if you feel the confidence switch flip, the moment you say it.

And on “fuck it.” I say that one in the mirror about 5 times each morning. Just picture a hot chick standing somewhere. Really visualize that, and then in the mirror just say “fuck it” with the utmost sincerity, and then just picture myself walking over there.

That practice makes it natural and I’ve found I just say that to myself without even realizing it when I see a hottie out in the world.

"I've noticed I limit myself to 6 and 8's" this is what most guys do, we limit ourselves to the average and slightly above average girls because we think the 10's are "too much for us", "stuck up", "conceited"... or whatever bullshit excuse we can come up with so we don't get rejected by what we really want. This is why in my experience, the 10's are actually quite nice and even more approachable than a 7, who is constantly approached by guys. I see 10's being more insecure than 7's because they don't get approached, and when they do it's mostly by cocky guys who just wanna fuck her and parade themselves like a winner.

I think it’s actually bad to assume that every chick you see out is looking to get laid, that’s a very common misconception. Most of my friend group right now are women, and only one of them goes out and constantly looks to get laid. The other ones actually hate being approached, they are just out with friends. Now I’m not saying that’s all women by any means. I’m merely suggesting that it’s never black and white.

Nothing wrong with shooting your shot. When you approach women, don’t have any expectations. Don’t assume she wants to get laid, don’t assume she doesn’t. See where the conversation takes you and gauge her reactions when you try to escalate things.

For example, I met a beautiful, blonde haired southern girl at a bar a few weeks ago. We talked for a while and then decided to go to a smaller, more mellow bar without our friends. We ended up talking for about 3 hours. She was giving me all the signs I was looking for, and I thought I was going to take her home. Strong eye contact, batting her eye lashes, touching my arm. However, at one point she put her hand on my leg and said “I hope you weren’t looking to get laid tonight, I’m not like that. I’m trying to keep my number on one hand.” At first I was like damn, just wasted all that time. But after a moment, I actually had tremendous respect for her. She has her own values, she wants there to be a strong emotional connection before sex, which I can understand. But her knowing that she didn’t want to have sex that night, and straight up telling me because she could see it going there really made me feel good about myself. It didn’t end up working out between us but we did have a couple good dates. You just never know how something is going to play out.

I’ve been starting to approach women after years and years of being single and having anxiety etc. I’m torn between A) doing what you described by just being ballsy and telling them right off the bat they’re sexy/beautiful and B) finding something about them other than their looks to compliment.

In scenario A, your intentions are clear and it shows confidence but you’re also just showing that you only came to talk to them based on looks. In scenario B, you show that you probably find them attractive but don’t make it clear and that you’re interested in her for more than her looks but you then have to work your way out of the friendzone at some point. I don’t know what works better, I keep reading women don’t like to be complimented on their looks from a stranger but my dating coach says I should tell them that first thing. As someone who doesn’t really have any success with women, I’d like to hear advice and opinions from those with results and experience.

So I have been told throughout my life that I’m a 10.... but I NEVER get approached in public. To the point that sometimes I feel insecure and wonder if my nose is too big, or I’m too fat, or whatever... just like you said... we all have insecurities and everyone loves being complimented.
