As a woman, what signs should I look out for in a man that might indicate whether or he is a misogynist?

Honestly, the best way to see is to see how they react when you do not give them what they want. Most red pillers are similar to nice guys. They are covert and will rarely ever voice their opinions when they arent in an echo chamber. You can also lead them along. Say something intentionally red pill and see their reaction. For example, say, "I believe women are meant to be in the kitchen." If they debate you on that, you have a good person. They are willing to defend women even if it makes them uncomfortable. If they go along with it you either have found a weak man or a red piller.

Having negative feelings toward childfree women that have done nothing but live life and mind their own business. I find this to be a huge red flag that not many people talk about because they think it's nothing more than a joke. Anyone who calls a childfree woman a "childless cat lady" has major issues. People minding their own business and just living life should be the least of anyone's concerns considering how sick this society is. I find these men to be extremely controlling and narcissistic. They can't STAND women being too independent or having the ability to end a relationship quickly and easily, too much freedom seems to piss them off.

If they are quick to play both sides (ex. “well, that goes for men too!”) whenever a topic related to women’s issues comes up.

Most people are pretty bad at hiding strong opinions for very long. Chances are you will start hearing him making sweeping generalisations about women and “why they are the way they are”.

Some poorly researched misrepresentations of evolutionary psychology to justify these views might also be quite common.

More than anything he will probably have a chip on his shoulder about a few things (women, sex, status, society, money) and this will become quite clear.

It depends. Humans are way too variable in nature but some I notice are

-Are they excessively nice in stereotypical ways? Any man I know whos been a real piece of work doesnt show it till he gets what he wants. Atleast not to you he wont.

-does he willingly display his flaws? This is the main difference between a man whos caught up in a culture he cant help but be a part of and someone who thrives and wouldnt be any other way.

And a question for yourself is -what do i consider misogyistic? Just consider that even if said person isnt a misogynist, it doesn't mean they dont hate women, have glaring issue on a personal level, or wont be an all around horrible human being.

Homophobia and Transphobia.

The reason Homophobic/Transphobic Men are that way, is because they see Gay Men and especially Trans Women as threatening their Masculinity. It’s really nobody’s business if someone is Gay or Trans, but a Homophobe/Transphobe hates them because they’re “unmanly” or worse, “Girly”

Honestly? If they’re strongly or repeatedly bigoted against any other group, there’s a good chance that they’re biased against a bunch of others.

There’s a certain amount that people either believe or don’t believe that people can be judged by their demographics. “My group is better and I can treat other groups badly because of that” is a base belief for some people, and it only takes an “oh wait. Maybe you’re NOT in my group” for them to conclude that there must be something wrong with YOU.

Yes, there are people who are strongly polarized against only one group and exceptions everywhere, but challenging biases is a learned and practiced skill. You need to be in the habit of saying “wait, why do I feel strongly about this person that I’ve never met? What am I reacting to?” and working to actively change that.

Everyone has biases. Everyone. Not everyone finds it worth it to examine their own biases and change them when they hurt people.

A good temperature check I do is insist on paying for dinner, a round of drinks, etc. Not splitting it, paying outright. It surprisingly upsets a lot of misogynistic men, who freak out.

on facebook, see if he is in the public comment section of any news story on a marvel movie, and see if he randomly calls things "too woke". See if he gets abnoxious to people that simply said they liked the movie.

Read the book "why does he do that? inside the minds of abusive and controlling men" it's by a male therapist who worked with these type of men. Most abusive men don't even know about "red pill" or social media stuff. Most women in domestic abuse type of situations, their husbands/bfs were not even aware of the red pill. Abusive men have a psychology to them as women do too. Not everybody is abusive simply because of their political affiliations or what they consume on social media. There is no correlation between these two and abuse. We all hold the same brain but deal with our emotions differently, that is the only difference between all of us.

Bring up the topic of Single parenthood. Is he more critical about the woman being a mother, or does he blame both parties.

The demonization of Single mothers, but not single fathers, is textbook misogyny imo.

They never criticize the father for leaving, but the mother for having a child with him, and shaming her, saying that "she should have chosen a better man"

I mean there’s plenty of confusion, it’s incredibly dumb to think women and men don’t differ on average in ways that are consequential to everyday life.

The Secret Service has been in the news lately, specifically the human shield department, the best human shields are men, they are just bigger people, that’s ok.

To say a woman can’t do as good of a job in a position of leadership or to claim that woman are too emotional for this or that would be a red flag.

However it is true that men and woman on average express negative emotion differently. Men on average commit most of violence, you can see the parallel in not laying the violence of all men at the feet of some, and I think that’s another pitfall of an extreme view. So however you approach this, be practical in parsing difference from value judgements.
