The paradox of choice is more apparent with women, as they are the ones who quite often have a lot of the options and consequently have a hard time determining what the upper limit is for a relationship. When they cross the upper limit, they get pumped and dumped or long-term casual with an alphabux; and when they undershoot it, they marry a man they end up resenting.

I disagree that women are always looking for the guy with limitless options. Most women, just like men as you describe, find someone they really enjoy, who they don't want to live without. That's what love is.

Unfortunately, the world has a tendency to jade us from giving love too freely. Many men probably feel the same.

I dont know. A lot of this stuff is totally related to online dating online. The vast majority of people still meet offline despite all the propaganda. Also, with the ability to make money off of youtube and tik-tok you really cant trust what anyone is saying. I do trust the dating app data that gets made public. Remember only 30-35% of people on the apps are women. Im going to guess a a large portion of them are the most narcissistic/delusional women. You have to wonder why they cant meet men offline because while its rarer men still approach women plenty actually.

This just sounds like the process of finding a match, you date around until you find somebody who is compatible with you long term. Unless you seriously enjoy dating, there's only so much energy you want to put in. And that's always going to be before you date/evaluate everyone you can lol

I disagree that women prefer men with limitless options. When it seems to me like a guy has too many options, I immediately start losing interest in him, even if I am attracted to him physically. It’s because I don’t want to compete with his other options and refuse to waste my youth on chasing something that won’t come to fruition. I would also much prefer the company of a man who makes me feel good when I’m around him even if he is considered less conventionally attractive than the man with “limitless options”.

Women don’t like dating because of this one reason, they date men with options. They don’t care they ended up on some bunk dates, they just ghost them after.

Women do care because they have trouble either finding the type of man they like who will commit to her, or getting such a man to commit and not just upgrade to a better option than her (often by cheating on her). Not only is this a waste of time for women, it also gives them emotional baggage and makes them distrust and even dislike men more. It’s not as easy for women as you make it out to be.

It's really not.

Let's say I move across the country to a new city tomorrow. I have zero girlfriends on day 1. Then I get on tinder and hinge and start swiping. I tend to meet women from apps pretty easily. It's no harder to meet the first one vs. the second, third, or tenth. None of them have any idea have any idea how many other women I'm seeing.

The first woman has no idea I'm seeing zero women because I just moved here. The third woman has no idea I'm already seeing two other women. It makes no difference.
