I’ll never understand why people don’t see how backward the current dating culture is: people who have had sex within a couple hours of meeting eachother are afraid and indecisive on when to initiate hand holding out of fear of moving too fast or scaring the other person away by being too forward. The hypocrisy of fast sex before you get to hold hands or kiss someone makes 0 sense, people today act like porntars about the first and coy 1950s teens about the last. This is something I have argued with people on and off line who se no contradiction in it. In the midst of all this depravity of course the sexually unsuccessful are otherised as the ultimate outsiders and castigated as lepers. But great culture and critical thought was always driven by the sexually frustrated and lonely and not playboys who were to busy hopping on with trends. lnceIs are speaking truth to current power even if they otherwise have nasty reactionary views.
