Setup an office area big shelving unit desk printer and got a 3d printer and some other goodies in spare room instead of just a buncha junk taking up space. RGB LED strips and everything. Another plan is to get a pool table for the basement and setup a theater room with a bigger tv down there

Living in a small terraced house in the UK while my wife lives in the marital home. Hate my place. Garden is fucked. Have the bare minimum to exist and have the kids over every few days. Money goes on rent, bills and mortgage and bills. It's shit.

A bit edgy. I am a film lover and collect One-Sheets. These are the 27×40 posters you see inside and sometimes outside the theater. So on my walls right now is Girls Are Made For Loving, The Yum, Yum Girls, Goin' All The Way, Olga's House Of Shame, Swap Meet, malibu beach. All of these are retro T&A/ exploitation films. I am a old dude and love this stuff. Long live USA Up All Night!!! I have more to put up and some on order. I love living alone where I do not have to compromise and I definitely don't care what others think.

I have a very old wood stove with beautiful brickwork around it. Wood flooring. I like my house-- it just a little 1000sq rancher but it's paid off and mine.

I bought new furniture for my apartment, decorated it the way I like, with for example subtle Tetris brick patterns on the floor of my balcony and a set of small square shelves arranged like Tetris blocks coming down the wall. I made a collage of post cards I have received over the years and my board game collection is now displayed somewhat proudly instead of being hidden away. I have a little poster now that is to my taste and I have colored small sections of my walls in colors that are both bright and unruly to me. It is much more my space and my home than our shared house ever was.

One upside of the divorce is that I bought a new house that I like MUCH better than my old one. It’s got 10’ ceilings and tons of windows so it feels bright and uplifting being here. I’m decently handy so I’ve been steadily doing projects on it to make it mine, and my sisters and gf have been helping me decorate it to my tastes. One of my favorite parts though was helping my son and daughter furnish and decorate their rooms exactly how they wanted. Seeing them feel at home here has meant the world to me.

After divorce, my new house was painted the way I wanted it, i display my fishing poles like wall art, hung my fishing pictures and my antique taxidermied fish, hung my antlers over the massive TV in the living room, and have a TV in my bedroom. Also, my bathroom is clean...no more shit all over the counter.

There were urges for pin-up art and neon signs and walls of alchohol or pulp posters, but I recognise that some of that is just reflexive rather than an actual desire. I have thought about getting a huge canvas of L'Origine du monde for my en suite though ;)

I put up some 80's movie posters, framed, Blues Brothers, Jaws, Friday the 13th. I also brought down some of my action figures and Lego sets. Built a TV wall with a 75-inch TV, Shelves on the sides, and a bridge across the 2.

My bachelor pad is my house. All 2500sf of it. Wife moved out in February, divorce will be finalized on the day we got married a year ago 😂. Which is coincidentally the same my first marriage, only on the ten year mark.

I’ve been redecorating since the day her stuff was gone. My bed room now has walls with Supercross and Motocross posters framed. The bedroom across the hall is now my home office. Complete with a 65” TV 😂.

My living room now has framed movie posters from the 80’s on the walls. Also Another 65” tv.

My garage is now full of just my stuff. All dirt bikes and quads and my other toys.

I also had so much fucking closet space. When my wife lived here she took up so much space with clothes and shoes and make up. All gone 😂. Now it’s either dirt bike related, hunting related, or fishing related. All the girly shit is gone.

I’m 50 and this is how I’m living the rest of my life. I will never share my life or space with another girl.

I bought a split level house a few months after it was final, big tv on the wall, dedicated office, full home automation

I finally got some of my family heirlooms and need to hang those, like a sword and large brass plate.

i got some big beautiful paintings at goodwill for a few bucks - stuff that would cost hundreds at galleries. for a dining table i got a folding table from home depot and the flexibility has been awesome - can fold up and use the space or bring to pool for parties. bed frames are cheap are easy to transport as well as kid mattresses. bought wire shelves instead of heavy wood dressers and cheap ikea tables off facebook marketplace. lots of pics of me and the kids on the walls as well as their art. toys and sporting goods scattered throughout, but minimalist aNd clean. moving to house will be easy someday

I have a 3 story apartment. I measured the space to make sure everything I had would fit perfectly. There isn’t a thing in here that doesn’t have a space. If I don’t have space for something new, I won’t buy it. So sick of clutter from my past life.

It’s also colorful. I’m so sick of everything being a shade of gray. I also invested in more art on the walls. Picking items up at goodwill and art fairs. I even bought a picture frame TV.

I added a HomePod mini to each room so I can have music playing no matter where I am in the place. It’s tiny compared to to my last few houses, but I absolutely love it.
