To those complaining about not knowing how to improve social skills, part of improving social skills is paying attention to how you’re talking. This is under the assumption guys arent intentionally doing this, but Im sure they are. Anyways, if you don’t even know that you’re doing it online, I highly doubt you’re going to catch when you’re doing it offline.

Some examples:

The most common example is when guys here pretend they’re not talking about sexual attraction and then immediately talk about sexual attraction.

Whiner: “Im so lonely! How can I be better at socializing if no one wants to talk to me?!”

Whiner, after being confronted and criticized for that comment: That won’t help me be sexually attractive to women! Stop strawmanning me!

Not being sexually attractive to women you like and people not wanting to have a conversation with you are two completely different things.

Sidenote - This is similar complaint that “women lie” when men never asked women about sexual attractiveness, they just ask vague like “What do women want in a man?”. It’s not other people‘s fault that you’re not upfront about talking about sexual attraction.

Another example in piece of advice is self reflect on how your words sound before you say it. Because I noticed a lot of guys don’t even understand how they’re sounding to people just by writing what they write.

For example, I had a debate about somebody about immigration in the UK. I showed a video of a woman talking about how she was abused by a local and how most criminals are locals.

His response? “ I don’t care what she’s been through. She’s wrong and an idiot. Per capita matters more.”

I basically mocked him say, “Your SA doesnt matter to me. Now, lets focus in the immigrants.”

Then I was accused of spreading a nasty lie. Apparently his own words sounded great in his head, until Someone repeated what he said, and then he realized how disgusting that sounded.

Then there’s the Motte And Bailey Fallacy: When a person will say something extreme and then when called out on it, try to gaslight people into believing they were making the more nuanced reasonable version of that position.

Like claiming “No one wants single moms because they dont want her baggage (kids)” and then being called out for dehumanizing children, suddenly the argument was always “Men would just prefer a childless woman over a single mom”.

Similar problem with the redpill talking about “The truth” about women. Instead of claiming that women have an easier time in dating like most people already know, they get hyperbolic “Women live on easy mode” and “They have privilege”.

Knowing how your words are coming across is very important when it comes to socializing with people.
