Because you get insecure and begin asking us on Reddit about what to respond - it is obvious that you are in fact NOT that cocky or confident. And you faked it.

When you fake your personality - most women will look right through it.

If you are not that cocky and confident in real life, don't fake it. Simply ask her out on a date like a normal dude. Don't be assumptive if you're not the assumptive type. Don't be cocky if you're not cocky. It's okay to be normal. Don't fake confidence. Women smell that shit.

Now, the best move from here is to just smoothly backtrack ask her out like a normal dude. Lay away the cocky gimmicks. It's clearly not who you are.

I'd be either more hostile or simply drop her, this is why I'm not so luck with women so don't take my approach.

don't pretend to be someone you are not, men thinks they are the hunter, but women are the actual predators in the first encounter, they measure you in every inch while you unaware, the point is not to be yourself or someone else, but to be the best of you, if you are a nice guy, then be it, women can sense if you are a bold guy or faking it, don't be anxious, don't worry so much about losing your shot, another one will come, failures only makes you stronger, it's part of the game.

Look bro. If you're not the cocky funny type, don't fake it. If she meets you in-person and doesn't sense you're genuinely cocky funny, your entire frame crumbles. She'll know you're just another poser.

Women are highly perceptive and trusts their instincts. She can sense what you say and how you feel is different.

Instead of a cocky funny reply, just be humble and vulnerable. "Oh haha I wanted to talk about bars because I hoped we can meet for drinks".

I would just double down on the confidence. She’s checking if you’re able to be a man and set things up and lead the way.

I’d say something along the lines of “I know we will.” Short, sweet, confident.

Each text doesn’t have to be magic, so long as it feels right to her she’ll see it as natural.

Why do you need to assume it's a test? If she is undecided about you, a cute comeback isn't likely to change her mind and could make her more uncertain.
