I’ll keep this post short and sweet.

I’ve been single since June. I used to date broke LVM and would always pay for dates, look past huge flaws “because he’s so sweet to me”, and had low expectations.

A change has happened since this sub. I’ve realized I’m honestly a great catch. I’m in my early 20’s with a fantastic career, great pay. I pay all my own bills, drive a nice car, have a pet I love very much, and consider myself fairly intelligent with a sense of humor. I put a ton of effort into my appearance and will be hitting the gym again once they open with COVID restrictions.

A guy who works in my facility on a different floor found me on Instagram a few nights ago and messaged me saying he thought I was pretty and asked me on a date. I noticed a few red flags: He’s newly separated from his wife just a few months ago and has a child, but ignored them because I’ve met him at work and he seems to have his shit together and is also in the same great career, so I said yes to a date.

He’s been a bit overly flirtatious and I steered the conversation away from his advances. A few hours ago he messaged me and made a comment insinuating he “can’t wait to crawl in my bed later”. We haven’t even went on a date yet, mind you. Have only been chatting for three days, don’t even know the location of the first date yet.

I messaged back “I’m sorry, you have the wrong impression. I don’t do casual hookups at all. Best of luck to you!” and BLOCKED HIM for wasting my time.

I’ve never done this before. I previously would have went along with it in hopes of more dates and finding a companion, but now I know that would just be a waste of my time.

I know what I’m looking for. I eventually want a HVM who wants to be a husband. Someone who is willing to work for it and take me on dates and put in some effort. Not a man who assumes he’s automatically going to crawl in my bed the first chance he gets.

Thank you so much ladies.
