It’s a strong belief of mine that most disagreements and arguments come not from differing opinions. But from different interpretations of the same word.

For example I just came from a thread here where the basis of OP’s argument was the word “independent” and that noone could truly be independent in a relationship with another. His argument described “interdependence” that was misappropriately called “codependence”

I get that English language is overly cumbersome, and that for many foreigners with English as their second language it’s even harder.

What word definition mix-ups have you witnessed on here? Especially those that may have cause 100’s comment level threads as a result?

EDIT: one I really hate is using “FWB” to mean “fuckbuddy” when IMO they are very different. A fuckbuddy isn’t actually a “friend”. While a Friend With Benefits is actually a friend.
